I'm only new to mods; I've been using pens and VV devices with clearomizers for months. I recently got a mod and burnt the wick pretty badly because I didn't know what to expect on drip tip RBAs, so I replaced the entire coil, mostly because I had time right then and wanted to make sure I knew how to do it for next time.
It is a pre-built coil that came with the atomizer, pre-tested to run at about 1.5 ohms. It is not shorting; I'm new to mods but not simple electrical circuits.
However, it is popping VERY loudly, and I'm occasionally getting some of it on my tongue. I am using a different flavor of fluid, and it SEEMS like it's just normal popping from fluid being heated to boiling, but I wanted to confirm with more knowledgeable people that this is a normal thing that can happen with a new coil and some kinds of fluid.
