Now I'll play shrink and ask, "Do you think it's cool?" You're the one that's going to be using it and these things aren't popular enough to make a fashion statement. However, as unsure noted, the battery life on the cigarette sized kits is a problem. If you can stand a cigar sized unit, I think the eGo or Riva is a lot better choice.

Popular unit colors? Tan comes to mind. And many do have red tips. And yes, I do have a dirty mind. ;-)

Yeah, tan "filter" with white battery kind of looks like a cig. But who are you trying to fool? I remember well the first choice I made, trying to minimize my embarrassment to be seen with this weird novelty gadget, hoping it would pass for a real cigarette if anyone saw me. And I knew I'd feel stupid sucking on something that looked like a pen or a marker, or worse, like some kind of dope pipe. And it's a legitimate concern to the novice vaper. So I am sympathetic to it. But I will advise all newbies... this will pass. You will spend a hundred or two on cigarette-looking vaporizers, and you will move up to something better. It's a rite of passage. There are many here who will try to get you to jump straight ahead to the latest and greatest.

They mean well. But I must make this comparison. Speaking as an older guy, I remember, looking back, that sex was much better with experienced women than with my high school sweetheart, but would you advise your teenage son to skip the girls his age and jump straight to cougars? I didn't think so. :)

First welcome to ECF. As for cool if you MUST have one that looks like a cig then go for it. But read some posts first. While it may get the trick done out of the gate you will soon find you are looking for somthing better (more batt life, better hit etc.). There are many (including me) who started out with one of those only to find the $100 could have been spent on better gear. Also many of us are fighting the negative stigma associated w/smoking and trying not to have that same stigma cast upon vaping. If it looks like a cig it must be a cig right??? I would much rather pull out a eGo/Riva or one of my mods than a white penstyle batt w/a glowing orange LED at the end. Best of luck no matter what you choose and happy vapes

Personally, and I've only been vaping for a few weeks, my first e-cig I wanted it to look like a real cigarette thinking that might make me feel more like I was smoking but it only took me about an hour to realize that it was better than smoking in every way, taste, smell and yes cost. I no longer want my e-cig to look like an analog, I want it to look better. Its shiny and blue LOL

I hope I can speak for us collectively when I say that WE think it's "cool" that we aren't smoking.

As for the rest of it (looks like a cig and all that) who cares, right? We aren't smoking! A year later and I still can't say it enough.

I don't want to sound mean but, i agree with Rosa. Who cares?

If you mean who cares what it looks like and it stopped you from smoking then I'm 100% in agreement!!

+1
