Okay okay, e-liquid is great, but what about those other things that get Porphy's mind whirling? Anyone who knows me knows that I am a documentary and new science geek. No, I in no way qualify as a subject matter expert in these categories but rather a rapt audience watching it all unfold. So here are some links to New science that will make you go "Hrmmmmmmm"

Dude, seriously, that is amazing. The possibilities are freakin' endless. However, it worries me that such information could be tied to the internet, and I don't think it's overly paranoid to say that the internet is easily monitored.

Can you imagine the repercussions of this device being successful??? Emergency rooms filled with people with ACTUAL emergencies. The ability to go on living without fear of any lack of medical insurance, to diagnose simple maladies. I mean, my God man, it can analyze urine for Pete's sake! Just imagine the possibilities...

When doctors inject KLH into the human bloodstream, it provokes a powerful immune response. If markers for a certain cancer are attached to KLH, the immune system can be stimulated to attack them.

And, WOW!

I wonder if they can synthetically create this epitope, else if this is feasible, say good-bye to this species. (Grossly exaggerated, I know )

Right now I'm interested in the validity of the E-cat, but in researching this supposed world changing device I realized that my knowledge of elementary quantum mechanics is lacking and flawed so I've grabbed up some interesting books from Michio Kaku to refresh and correct my knowledge.

Not at all. In fact I'm fairly certain almost everything on the internet and through your smart phone (GPS, Kindle, etc.) is collected in some fashion. In fact scientists are trying to get companies like Verizon and Sprint to release this information (through more open legislation on the subject) in order to classify, track, predict human behavior patterns, and assess risk factors. In fact even the scientists behind this research admit that it can be used for hundreds of thousands of applications to better humanity (probably better stated as "effect humanity" rather than better it.)

I'll find a link to the research and development, it's interesting to see what they can do with only a small fraction of the information they are asking for.

i just hope that (assuming it does exist) they're able to find the Higgs before the man passes away. be it CERN or Fermilab (if funding somehow miraculously returns to an appreciable degree), because personally if i had a theory that became a fact i'd at least like to see it actualize before i died but hey they're doing what they can.

i just randomly saw the morgan freeman thing about this on National Geographic the other night so i figured i'd at least make an attempt at having culture here... that bionic arm thing someone linked to is really cool too. odd how so much of science fiction is becoming reality.

I think they are going to either find or eliminate the search for the Higgs particle soon (a few years), they are running out of areas to look (at least in the predicted areas).

As for science fiction becoming a reality, just wait.*crosses fingers and goes on a real tangent* We are going to see a storm of innovations coming soon. With CPS's (computations per second) doubling each year and quantum computers on the horizon we will see a day where technology allows us the freedom to do away with menial tasks, and leads us to an age where we do what peaks our interests and pursue the endeavors that intrigue us most. If we really want to get optimistic we can see a day where the life expectancy of humans increases by more than a year each year... maybe even allowing Higgs to see more than just his dream come into reality but even far enough to see the next evolution of his ideas in application. *end tangent*

Fascinating. Eventually, this product will become useless (?) That is, once we, as humans, have completely used up all of Earth's natural fossil fuels. I'm no expert on the subject, but, without fossil fuels, is smog even possible? Though, at the moment, I personally believe that this product needs to be in Worldwide effect, immediately.

That sir is way beyond my understanding. Though I am exhausted and extremely tired, I still find it hard understanding what the hell this is Unfortunately, (for the sake of this topic), I've spent a better portion of my time learning on anatomical and physiological processes of living organisms. That is, rather than hard core physics. (In all honesty, I thought the link was going to take me to a cyborg or completely mechanical kitty cat, )

The unfortunate and perhaps humorous fact of this situation, (depending on how twisted your sense of humor is ), is that no matter how many wonderfully positive innovations created by the most creative of creators come about, there will always be someone behind the curtains willing to defile it by using it for no better reason than monetary gain. It is a nasty side effect in our capitalistic nation, greed that is.

In my future line of work, and in my personal values as a human being, I hold on faith to our society as a nation and our world populace in general. I hold onto faith that we, as humans, are and can be better than what we are. We've so much potential, but in order to access our fullest strength, there will no doubt need to be some serious renovations to our societies' goals and ambitions.
