Uhmm... fair enough, like I said, I wasn't trying to imply that you were looking for indecently high profits.

As to the Ego PT, I'll say no more. Like I stated, I was going by what seamed a reasonable assumption.

Last note - It may not be as convenient as a USB Ego, but the Indulgence does have a PT attachment.
I own one and it is my reserve in case of problems with PV's or batts.

See... It's kind of a quirky thing. There is a trend in the modder's section about adding chargers to mods so they can do what you are talking about. Maybe some of the mods offered commercially have them for 5 volts.... IDK. You may wish to check the vv mods too.

I comment because many mods have REMOVABLE batteries. Thus, people use external chargers with them and just swap out the batteries (10 seconds) and then charge (with high powered external chargers). They still don't lose any vaping time that way, and don't have a cord hanging off the PV.

It's definitely a thing with those mods that have fixed non-removable batteries since they have to be charged somehow, and they sometimes build the rest of the charger into them and use the mini-usb connection to charge em. No downtime that way. How many have removable batteries, 5V AND a charger... IDK. More likely to find a match with a non-replaceable battery. That's what's so cool about the mod market tho... variety! I think you'll find some. We kicked it around here some: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/195659-someone-explain-me.html

I (and I assume you) would love to see them come out with a 5 volt eGo style unit, even at net 600 mah per dual cell "battery". PT even better. Charging dual cells internally is trickier. Booster mods are generally larger, and more expensive, but would be easier to put a charger into. Most are vv, I would think. (This is all a bit of ramble/speculation on my part, as I am in no way an expert in all mods on the market).

I think removable batts and on-board charging are somewhat redundant, but I don't know, maybe some people would prefer the option.

As far as an eGo passthru vaping immediately upon charging when discharged, you have to keep in mind Li-Ion cells are normally never fully discharged. You can't drain them past a certain point or it damages them and they may not charge afterwards. So, you're not actually vaping the battery dead, just to the point where the unit shuts down. Probably what's happening is the eGo's controller puts the unit back in run mode immediately when it senses the voltage increase due to the charger. I think I read somewhere the eGos shut down when the cell reaches 3.2V (don't know for sure). Damage starts to occur around 2.5V. I imagine if you kept on vaping an eGo PT faster than it can charge, it will shut down eventually even with the charger connected.

lol. Yeah, I agree it's redundant. Hence the link I posted. But hey, I'd bet he does find some. The modders seem to be building them a lot!! lol. Personally, I don't want the cord hanging around. But that's me. IDK if you can charge the tekmod and vape at the same time.....???? Probably. So that's at least one currently offered. It's a battery pack... it's an e-cig. Two things in one!

the biggest plus is you can make it all day with out carrying anything extra. im a pretty heavy vaper. i need to change the batteries in my prodigy once a day. but i was able to make it all day with my joye stick with one 10440. why? because i have mini usb everywhere. in my car. at home. ones always plugged into my PC. no need to carry something new cus i need it for my phone. no need to carry an extra batt, no need to carry a charger. grab the pv and juice, and go

Like you said, that is one of the big advantages of on-board charging, you have way more opportunities to charge. Plus, you can charge and vape at the same time. For me, built-in charging takes a much higher priority than removable batts. In other words, I would rather have a fixed batt with built-in charging than a removable batt without it. Though, if I had no choice, I would still take built-in charging even with removable batts. I'd just never remove the batts unless I was compelled to. Of course, I'm biased to my own preference so all of the battery powered mods I've done have been fixed batt with passthru style charging.
