The liquids in the cartridges are almost certainly the source of the odor. tobacco is a plant, my favorite vegetable. The liquid derived from this organic thing contains Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). When organic material begins decomposing, gas discharge occurs. Seal the stuff and you get a gas buildup. Feel free to correct my chemistry here. I spent high school chemistry flirting with the girl next to me.

Maybe if we put a pipe into the bag, we could create the Eternal E-Flame.

You're right. What's the paraphernalia giving off the stench? Guess I was hoping she'd stumbled on E-Gas, a solution to the planet's diminishing crude oil supplies.

I don't know how good of a solution... I don't want to have to depend on China for my fuel supplies as well!

Though this makes me wonder now I have all my cartridges in a big zip loc in my fridge too. I notice condensation inside the bag.

You're a hoot folks, just a hoot. ;)

Okay the paraphernalia is all that you would expect - used carts waiting to be squished, filter material already squished, empty cart plastic, syringes, tweezers .... normal stuff you'd find on Amy Winehouse's coffee table.

The bag usually isn't sealed. It's like cart odor x 10000. I try to keep it all neatly divided with smaller ziplocs and prescription bottles but everything seems a bit slimey with liquid residue/condensation anyway.

Ooooooo. Cart odor. :( The first time I sniffed a used cart ... (sounds like the beginning of a steamy novel, eh?) ... is when I concluded I'd been vaping E-Cig pig pee. Those things stink! And I'm sure you're contributing to the breakdown of the atmosphere by releasing all those greenhouse gases, Jamie. Zip it, will ya?

ha.. ha... I'm reminded of when I was new to the forum and somehow I picked up on a thread by Father Jack who spoke of the burned pantyhose smell. Mr. Darcy was kind enough to help me through that thread - lol
