possible DNA30 chip problem

I just received a new DNA30 chip from evolv for a new mod I'm making and when i tested it prior to install the screen flickers.... The flicker is most easily described as the results of video taping a tv or monitor. I can still easily make out everything on the screen, it's just flickery lol.

Is this an acceptable occurrence or should i wait on this mod until i talk to evolv? I really would like to get this mod done!!

when you are firing or just when it is sitting? does the dimming work correctly?
how do you have it connected for testing?

haven't tried anything but applying power. single 18650 pos/pos neg/neg

probably just a shaky connection.

got the basic soldered. it'll do it the first few times i mess with it (fire, wattage) but then it stops. only does it again once i pull and replace the batteries. coming out of sleep it won't. Odd but i can live with it. If this goofs up i'll just wait patiently for my IPV 50w lol
