DNA30 screen flickers

So I had a brand new DNA30 chip, never soldered on (last one from a purchase of 3 several months ago)

The first 2 worked flawlessly. This one when I installed it in a mod, powered up and worked but the screen was dim and flickered. Continued to fire and work but the screen would just randomly dim and flicker. Nothing specific would make it happen, double and triple checked my connections and finally tried with just battery power no other connections and tested the onboard buttons, same results.

None of the screen cabling was damaged, and all the screen graphics were there, just flickering.

Could it be DOA?

hum.... if the chip is an authentic DNA30 from Evolv... just contact them on their contact page...

Yeah it's genuine evolve, just never saw a brand new chip do this. I've done 4 or 5 transplants to upgrade or repair bad dna boards, but never had a flicker issue like this.

The ohms flicker on one of my 30W DNA Vapor Sharks at low ohms .5 to .6 coils, but works fine.

Not the entire screen, just the ohm reading.

No this is the whole screen and it gets dimmer and dimmer

Dna30? Just throwing this out there but with the Sony Pictures hack maybe China hacked Evolv and put the voodoo on em Jokes aside, they never had an issue like that till the dna40, they changed something if its effecting all of em.

These were from an older batch, several months ago. I ordered 3, 2 of which work fine... The one I saved for ME is defective.... Isn't that just the way it goes sometimes
