I have a Nautilus mini, the juice that was in it was banana split. Vaped the juice for about 3 weeks. Cleaned out the tank tonight and the chimney part on the inside is now hazed. Did the banana flavoring in the juice do this? And is the tank still safe to use? I know that certain juices will destroy plastic tanks, but didn't know that they will mess up the stainless steel part of a tank.

Is it the plastic tank (the newer Nautilus have glass?)? If so, you'll need to get a glass replacement tank. I have this one:

It is an original Nautilus mini, the chimney inside of the tank, and it's a stainless steel part, unless Aspire is false advertising their parts. It surprised me to see that. I tried rubbing it, scratched at it with my finger nail and it wouldn't come off. We threw the juice away. I just want to know if the chimney part is still safe to use.

:w00t: Warning

Had some Davide Minis that had been sitting around for a while and decided to clean them all up. Disassembled, rinsed, dropped in some vodka to soak and completely forgot about them for a couple of days. When I rinsed them off, the plating had been eaten of the center tubes on three out of four of them in a mottled pattern. They were fine going in. Three tanks down the drain in one day. :(

I found this^^^^^^ on another thread and I am beginning to think that the center tubes aren't really stainless steel but are in fact just plated with something.

I would think that you could still use your topper if it is just hazed. If it is all the way down to the base metal, I am not sure I would be comfortable using it.

I'm using TFA DX Banana Cream in one of my fave mixes. Just started it a few weeks ago, but haven't seen any problems in my attys. It's the only flavor I've put in my new Billow V2, but I've run close to 100ml through it in the last week and haven't seen any problems yet. I was vaping it in my KFL, and it started clouding the acrylic window, but there was no noticeable film or etching on the chimney. My guess would be with everyone above. Maybe the Aspire tank is plated and not true SS.
