I think the T3s is one of ones that can use the standardized head now too. You have to buy a separate T3s base to use with the T3 body though. The mini-Davides are glass and use the kanger heads. I have a couple for liquids I know will crack evods.

Sorry you lost the $$ and the Evod CJ. :(

I should send the bill for my new tank to that other company. As quickly as it corroded the tank, I would be hard pressed to believe that they don't know their juice does that to tanks, so a professional company would have sent a little warning note or posted a warning on their website or something. Obviously they didn't care about my equipment.

You should check out the Pyrex ARO's, $7.99, and is BCC. I got a few the other day and very pleased with them. Although EVOD heads won't fit them from what I read, but the ARO heads do work in EVOD and others.

I have one of those, too. Now this is weird.... I went to get a head for mine and the lady at the shop told me they were out, but the protank head would work. Grabbed one, it worked. When I went to swap out another time it didn't. So, I wonder if they just had them mixed up at the shop.. Either way, I now have a stash of both. I still like the protank better, but the Aro is a nice vape as well.

Well I guess I'll find out if the evod head works in the mini protank in about a week of waiting. I could have just gone down the street and bought it at the B&M but I doubt it would have been that cheap. Thanks to the guy who recommended 101Vape. By the way I was about to purchase one from the official kanger site for $7.99 but they wanted $24 shipping. LOL. What was THAT all about?

sorry to hear of your issues
rack it up as part of a learning curve...

here's one of many lists of tank crackers
- Here is a list of e-juices known to deteriorate polycarbonate tanks:

if you just get these, they fit all kanger bcc (not pt3)
- Kanger T3s/Mini T3s/MT3s

- Kanger T3/T3s Clearomizers

good luck :)

Thanks for the link. Funny. I don't see Spearmint on that list. I think I may have already seen that list and that's why I didn't think twice about using the Evod for Spearmint. Once again, if this vendor uses an ingredient that is known to corrode plastic it would be only professional to point that out. I'm telling you I didn't have that juice in there more than, say, five minutes before I washed it out only to discover it was ruined. And I had only put a few drops in just to taste test it, can't even imagine how it managed to corrode the entire interior of the tank

This is an interesting bit that I found while researching:

In broad terms there are some chemicals that very aggressively attack Polycarbonate. These chemicals include Toluene, Benzene, Acetone and Ammonia to name a few. One interesting experiment to see the effect of these chemicals is to dip a small piece of Polycarbonate into some Acetone. Nothing visually appears to happen, but the surface does become plasticized. If the Polycarbonate is then washed in water, the water provides nucleating sites causing the surface to “crystallize”. The result is that the entire surface instantly turns white.

That's exactly what happened when I tried to wash it with water.

so did you buy evod and juice from same vendor, same time (same order?)

if so, have you contacted them ?

some bad ingredients that attack polycarbonate tanks :
e-juices
-that contain malic acid
-that contain essential oils
-that contain triacetin

No, I got the evods from Vape Dojo (I would highly recommend) and their juice is fine. The juice that caused the problem was from another company.

I've used spearmint flavored juices in polycarbonate tanks and never had an issue with cracking or melting. At least not yet. :)

There's something nasty in that juice. While I was vaping it, I kept thinking, there doesn't seem to be any nicotine in this stuff, but my head was growing light as if there was something else in it. Who knows what these yokels put in their juice. I'll never use them again. I should get some university to test it to see what's actually in it.

Sorry you had the bad experience CJ. The "trial and error" is one of the hardest parts of vaping....especially early in the game. Glad you found some good juice though! It takes time and trial/error to figure out good vendors, good prices, and good product. Everyone here is really great about reporting their experiences, and even after 3 years of vaping, I still seek out the opinion of others. And I have fallen into the trap you did a few times as well. Poop happens. :(

And now to corrupt you further......have you ever thought about making your own juice? Back in the dark ages of vaping when I started down this path the juice options were nothing short of AWFUL! I learned to DIY my own juice pretty quickly. There are some pretty awesome flavors out there if making your own interests you. It is fun too! I am just adding to the expense pile now, aren't I?!?!

I'm probably a ways away from experimenting with making my own. Of course I said that about two weeks ago about getting some real equipment while smoking cigalikes, and look at me now--three batteries, two evods, three different ohm heads, eight bottles of juice with some wick and coil coming soon in the mail. LOL
