Possible PIF Problem

Touching on what boB said: Lately most of what I have been offering is either juice I recently purchased which may or may not have steeped to its desired level OR juice recently pif'ed to me which I have no way of knowing how long it has existed. juice consistency does vary. I understand the initial concern and frankly wouldn't mind knowing whether or not juice that I am receiving has been altered in any way from it's "factory state". Having said that, though, I feel that best case scenario you get a keeper juice and worst case scenario you just pass it along in your next offer...

Hey, I gotta admit, had I not known beforehand some juice I was recieving would be WAY different than what I knew this brand and flavor to be, I wouldve been asking similar questions in one recent instance..and bob would've been right. I wouldve been a noob that didnt know what I was talking about. This is why we tread lightly, and dont throw out names. Ask those in the know privately first. If the case has merit, it will show. But seeing as this particular issue has never been an issue, or at least addressed to my knowledge, its a learning experience if nothing else. No harm, no foul so far, but a thread worth seeing, and good viewpoints all around.

A couple things.......

Bob makes a point that I immediately thought when I read the OP's post. Juices change over time, and juices that are PIF'd can be older or even passed along a couple times. I'd think that this was what you got and not someone "cutting" juice to PIF more.

And, this didn't need to be posted in the first place. If you read the rules, you'd see that any problems with another member need to be brought up with the mods, and not posted here publicly. Just another headache for Jules, et al to deal with that doesn't need to be done publicly.

One of my favorite eliquids is Wyatt Earp from FSUSA and I have been trying to collect it, so I am very familiar with its color and flavor.

My and I completely understand those who disagree but I don't think the PIF thread is intended for "collecting" stuff you already have.

I love Red Bull juice, but the only RB liquids I'd take on PIF would be ones that I haven't tried yet, unless I was completely out of all RB.

In a strange way maybe it kinda relates to when I'm at a restaurant and we order a few appetizers. If I like them all and others only like specific ones, I'll only eat the ones that I know others don't like or are less fond of, that way everyone gets to eat what they like.

OK,Ill chime in,I recently got juice from a vendor that tasted weak.It tasted watered down.I have ordered from them several times and it was a bit different each time but this was the first time it tasted so weak like they forgot to add the flavor.It happens.THATS FROM A SUPPLIER!so,dont assume its the person you got it from.ask.I didnt PIF the weak juice,I just chock it up to a lesson learned.

No Sallana is right, this needs to be taken up with a mod if you feel there is an issue, not discussed publicly as it will only create drama and PIF has been nice and calm lately.

but the op didn't have an issue or case. he noticed something he thought was worth discussing and i agree. several explanations were offered and, i believe, jons was grateful for them since some of them he had not thought of.

no warlike, this would head us in the wrong direction. we should be able to discuss matters as reasonable adults without being so defensive. pif is a great group and if a member wants to point out something, and does it in a civil way, there should be no problem.

and i believe that is why jules did not delete this thread.

you're right, fir, i disagree. if i didn't i could never participate. as it is now, i rarely can since i can only vape ecopure without ill effects. a while ago i was able to take a pif from chica and if i would have ended up with altered juice i would have been up a creek. and i am sure that some use pif because their favorite juice is up for grabs and they cannot afford to buy it at the time. so yes, if the member knows that the juice he/she was offering was cut it would be a good thing to know. i believe that is all jons wanted to point out and i don't see anything wrong with that.

I'm going to weigh in here. I'd be certain personally before I posted a public thread about something like that. Matter of fact if I was that certain I would surely contact a mod as well. Hear me out for a minute......you haven't been around long, I could easily since you cited a specified brand and supplier of juice narrow down the offer it was in. I have no interest in doing that, because I've been vaping long enough to realize juice can and does vary.

A bottle of juice that may have been sitting for 2 months because someone didn't care and decided to PIF it is going to be different than one that's fresh, you vape long enough you'll run into that. You didn't call anyone one out personally, but you came pretty darn close if you ask me. Plain, simple, take it to a mod. IMO I don't believe with the specials they run at their prices someone is running around cutting samples of that juice.

That is a really good point. I really havent been vaping that long and I am not that familiar with how juice reacts of a period of time just sitting. thanks for pointing that out for me.

Thanks for those who are adding to this thread. There have been many things brought up that I honestly have never heard of or thougth of before. This new information has been very helpful and has really changed how I view the entire thing. This was a great thread! I learned something and it changed my point of view... could I ask for more.

That is a solid point, its actually frustrating to a point. Mark and let me say that you do a very good job at diy liquids, still some of the best tobacco I've tasted yet.

I received a juice that is suppose to be 100% VG, although they don't state this on the label, I know for a fact that is how it is only made.. I'm quite confident in saying that I doubt the one I received was even 50% VG and very much believe it to be watered down.. NOW problem is, I cannot prove that person who I got it from didn't get it this way themselves and so on and so on.. Only thing I can do is except it as it is and since I know something is not right with it, I shall not be PIFing it.. NOW who is to say I haven't unknowingly PIF a juice that has been altered like this one?? i can't but I'm pretty sure that 99% of us would not offer it knowingly soooo I keep on PIFing and enjoying the different flavors as is, who knows maybe someone altered one and I just enjoyed the best juice ever lol..
