possible to use old automatic battery pressure switch for making a battery box mod?

i have some blu that wont charge, go figure, and i curious if i could use the automatic pressure/vacuum sensor switch thingy to put in place of a button. i like to 'hands free' vape as im sure many others of you do as well. i cant find any details of those pressure switches. nothing on mouser or digikey resembles those kind of sensors. i dunno if a part number or anything is gonna be on something that small. i hope thay can handle up to 6v. or 3v-12v (wishing big here!)

Those automatic switches don't handle the voltage straight from the battery, they control the gate of a teeny tiny mosfet switch thats part of the circuit board inside the battery case. I am 99% positive thats how it works, but if anyone else knows please chime in this is a good topic.

ah ha, well if thats the case then, just connecting those wires from the batt to the new batt box and maybe changing the led to a bigger or different colored one and cleverly placing the pressure switch in the box and making it air tight kinda in the right areas then making an automatic battery box or big batt mod would (in theory) work great!

If thats how they work, to handle 6 volts, You would have to wire it in series with a 2-3a transistor(mosfet). Pretty much the same way you would wire in a microswitch in a higher amperage device.

I used one from a 901 in a mod, it is a mechanical switch that will work with any voltage(I tested it up to six volts). Now, soldering to it is as close to surgery as it gets. It gave me many many headaches and now is in pieces. I would suggest securing your wiring very well once soldered and be careful to not use to much solder, it will bind the moving parts together. now for an attempt to make an automatic passthru

XgovernemntAgent - an auto passthrough works as I've done it myself. It's a lot easier too (unless you know how all the wiring works on a auto battery).

The simplest way is to carefully cut the metal tube down by half (most of the passthrough tubes are filled with fresh air), retain the existing wire coming out (cut off the USB and connect the wire to battery box circuit) and glue the new end into the battery box.

NB - if you are careful you can keep the light and reposition it somewhere on the box.

Show it off! I would love to to see if you have better luck than I did. The one I made worked for a day before I went and messed it up beyond repair. I have one 901 battery left and my soldiering iron is getting lonely. I may have to give it another try.
