Kinda like Black Chads thread, only dedicated to Bottom Fed setups :)

Chalice with a 1.65 ohm 14 ga bore coil using 30 ga Kanthal A1. Short wick of Rolled Cotton.

Getting ready to try some Nextel 1/32" XC-116 so I'm kickin up the coil bore in preparation :)

It looks sooooo fat! vape?

Off the chain. The 1/16" will be slightly fatter but with a Nextel core :) I think the key is the touching coils and sparse, dense wick. Smaller helps but not as much as tightness maybe?

Nice setup pdib. I'm gonna have to edit that bad boy out if my signature if I ever get on my PC again :)

you guys are good. makes me really want to step up my coil building skills. i wish i wasnt so lazy when it came to building coils. all ive got on my bottom feeder is a stupid little A7.

Kemosabe, thank you. I'm pretty lazy too and have zero patience or mechanical skills. I'm thinking that building these type of RBAs is either very easy or I am just very lucky :). I find it fun in a hobby style way too. :)

youre welcome dude. i envy you. and all the other sick setups i see here. my A7 pisses me off. i tried silica with it, its okay. tried cotton- hated it. tasted great at first but burnt too easily. im back to silica but its still not as good as my gennys. i think i need to put some SS in there.

Bro, check this out - it may help. And if you can, get an RM2 RBA from Rob at REO. You will be surpassing my builds in no time flat :)

nice tutorial. i like your wick feeding method using the blunt needle. i never thought of that. looks like abetter approach than the "fold wick in half over a piece of resistance wire then feed through wick" method. that method always seemed to leave gaps between the coil and wick.
i am also noticing how short you trim your wick. mine is likely WAY too long  i thought a longer wick would have better juice flow for some reason. its probably quite the opposite now that i think about it.

man i really gotta get better at my dripper building. im satisfied with my geny builds (except for SLR- i cant do that yet), but the drippers are more difficult for me for some reason. probably because i started building on gennys.
