First thank you to Ethebull, Les, and the few others who have responded to my previous posts and questions.

Well it seems that I am on the same boat trip as the rest in this forum... searching for that perfect vape! I have tried a few builds already and and planning one or two up coming. Please critique my plan as pretty much all of you know more about this than me at this point.

Setup #1 = RSST unmodified. 7/32 SS rope running to the bottom of the tank with a 1/8 Nextel 116 sleeve over that (above the deck only). Four or five wraps of 28ga kanthal ribbon. Aiming for about 1.3-1.5Ω. Will adjust wraps as necessary. The possibility does exist that I may try only running the rope halfway down the tank instead of all the way as I have seen a few do here. I am not sure why it has been done and would not mind enlightenment, but it looks nifty. More tipping may be involved as a result.

Setup #2 = Same as above but without the rope.

Setup #3 = For the IGO-W (I have one on order which I am sure is a clone and not the real thing). As this is a dripper, I hope to try a dual micro coil with cotton. One coil will run outside post to center and the other will run from the other outside post also to the center. I know that I will have to crank up the ohms for each individual coil to get my resistance up to a decent level. I plan to roll a length of cotton all the way around and through both coils.

Sorry I'm no help with the critiquing, but I'm subscribed for answers as I have two of these on the way as my first rebuildables. If you don't mind me asking, what are you using for your cotton? Do you prepare it in any way before using? Boiling or other?

Would love to see a pic of your setups once you get them going.

I dont have the Igo yet. I just ordered my first one from that overseas place. I figured that it would be a good way to get an idea of what it is that all these folks are talking about. Cotton is supposed to have a very clean taste and have the benefits of being very cheap and easy to setup. When I have proof I will be sure to post my results though it is likely to be a couple of weeks before I get the Igo.

As far as the RSST, I am a new fan of it. I found it much easier to work with than the AGA and I like the tight draw of it as well. Not so much a fan of the milky plastic tank, but the ease of use and functionality make it worth overlooking. I had mine setup and vaping in no time.

I dont have a great amount of knowledge myself, but feel free to ask if you have questions. If I know the answer I will share. These folks here are pretty helpful and supportive.

i can't speak about the rsst since my genesis experience lasted only a few minutes, but the igo-w is a good piece.

i run dual microcoils on mine with cotton, with a short piece of cotton per coil. makes kind of a C shape, from through inside the coil then tucked under it to soak from the well. i had some builds that had cotton all over, but i felt like it was just wasting juice to saturate it. i personally haven't liked cotton touching the coil from underneath either like some folks build em. i feel like it cools the coil to much in that under spot which will also prevent air being drawn from going on all sides of the coil. i usually shoot for 9 wraps on my microcoils for single coil and about 12-13 wraps for dual coil. i'm using my drippers on sigelei#8s and i use 28ga kanthal.

hope some of this helps ya.

Looks good to me. As long as you meant 28g kanthal and not ribbon. :p

That is pretty much what most people who want to run dual coils on their IGO-W's do. Might I suggest if you do not want to roll as many with 28g(i.e. 10-12 wraps), you could use a higher gauge wire such as 32g or even 34g and achieve the same affects with say 5-6 wraps...ish.

the issue that arises when you turn to 32ga at least, is that it is rather much harder to make a micro coil with. 30ga i have not tried myself, but 28ga seems totally fine. in my mind, i also see the longer coil of 28ga with 10 wraps having more surface heat area than a 32ga 6 wrap micro coil. maybe that's just how it appears in my mind logically.

oh and the previous post, i'm pretty sure if i recall correctly, 6/5 wrap of 28ga netted me about 1.2 ohms.
