Funny. I don't think I have any pics of my ink - online anyway. I have a swirly kanji thing on my lower spine that says "Survivor". Got it after my divorce. Also have a "bracelet" on my left wrist that needs to be finished. My BF is a tattoo artist in his spare time. The bracelet was done in a new ink that we wanted to test out. In the bottle it looked like that kind of paint that changes colours depending on the angle - green to purple, etc. On the skin it just looks purple. I was so disappointed. Gonna have it re-done in black.... whenever he decides that customers don't come first. ~sigh~

OMG..well there is a blonde moment right there if I say so myself!! Blondie to the rescue!! Thank you my dearest!!!!

It is from lost, but I just love the Dharma initiative logo, an interesting take on the i-ching

I have spent some time on a few islands; Vancouver Island, The British Isles, Isle of Man, Corfu, Crete. Nothing that moved through time and space though...

Here's some ink.. i'm just a big lover of wildlife, mythology and art so these don't have any specific meanings but I did have some personal reasonings over why I chose what I chose. There will be more.. but it gets pricey.

Hey, it's an ugly mug, isn't it?? :p

I'm horribly camera shy, myself, so I'd get why someone might not wanna put their pic up. I liked that one of me and hubby with the Saudi guys so I just wanted to share it...otherwise I probably wouldn't have either.

And it was an awesome pic! I am so glad you posted cuz otherwise I would have never known more about you! Cuz I think you are a fantasic person and I am so glad to know ya hun!! I do see what you are saying. I am still sad though!!

*Blushing* You really do give me too much credit...

I thought it was really interesting that you are a Prairie girl who had "Muslim experience" too...just didn't know how to bring it it up.

Credit well deserved my girl! Yes, I lived in Africa for a few months, lots and lots of experience. Right in the heart of the muslim culture. I ate it, slept it, lived it for months. I hated wearing the hijab though and refused the jilaba. I only wore the turban thing on my head once out in the Sahara and that was for my own safety. But most of the time, I just wore a hoodie and put that over my head, at night. During the day was fine to show off my blonde locks, but at night, you don't dare. I was stopped by the police everywhere I went. I had to show them my marriage certificate and my passport. As we all know, you can not be single and co habiting with a man there. You get arressted and slapped in jail faster than you can blink an eye. Honestly, I can say this, I felt like I WAS in jail there. I lost all my freedoms as a Canadian woman. I saw with my own two eyes exactly how women get treated there. And for me being a Canadian girl that grew up free as a bird, you really have to know where your place is there. The cops will blame the wife for everything, even if she was raped, they will still side with the man. Damn Sharia Law. I honestly feel so sad for the women there. I really do. But I did meet alot of happy girls, because I full heartedly believe, that they grew up in it, and don't anything else, therefore do not miss out on freedom like you or I would. And I loved the prayers everyday from the big speaker towers. For some reason when I heard them, I felt safe. Islam is a great religion but I unfortunately am not very religious other than I do pray in a Christian way. I am sorry, but I could not see myself stuck in a kitchen for the rest of my life popping out babies. I am NOT a domestic goddess by any sorts. No thanks. And if I want to speak my mind, I have that right. Women are to be seen and not heard and only speak when spoken to? That philosophy I thought was thrown away centuries ago. I just found the world there very primitave. And I hated having no hot water, and only a hole in the ground to go to the bathroom in. God I felt so unclean. 6 days I would go with no clean undies! UGH..cuz there was no way to wash them! LORD HAVE MERCY! And thank the lord I brought toilet paper from canada. You think I could find a kleenex anywhere? NOPE. they don't do tissue paper. they think the good ol days of bidet's without the porcelain to sit on is how you go to the bathroom. Good ol Canadian Bush style. UGH, yes it was a hard hard culture to live in. And in that part of the country in March, with no heaters, I tell ya, being in Canada in the coldest of winters, I have never felt so cold before in my life. I slept with 2 hoodies, 4 blankets, and a thick suede jacket on top of that just to keep warm inside the tiny little stone walled apartment I co habited in for 5 months. Nope, sorry, this Canadian girl could never survive in a 3rd world country. Nice to visit to for awhile, but I need my Mcdonald's, and I need a bathtub and toilet and I need to shower every single day, not once a week. God that was gross. UGH. But I sure did enjoy the children there, so well behaved, running free on the streets, parents not even supervising. Kids there are like gold. Not like here. You can't even let ur kid go to a park unsupervised. We have child abductors here! But not there. Even in the busiest of streets with all the taxi's, the kids are running around in the streets and everyone looks out for them. It was strange to me to not see the kids in strollers or the parents holding their hands. they just walk around in the streets free as birds. Now that's a culture! And the beauty of that country is nothing like I have ever imagined. the most beautiful places on earth are in Africa. And the most beautiful people on earth both inside and out can be found there too! Yes I miss my husband, and sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I did go through with the visa process and brought him to the frigid cold. But, what I saw, and what I experienced there, told me that I better not get involved anymore. I married into islam law. I did not like the way my husband told me what to do. Plain and simple. And I did not like his temper either when he took my cigarettes away from me and told me I had to quit smoking right then and there. I challenged him, wrong thing to do. His words was the only word.

These are GORGEOUS tats! My favorite is:

I would have to say this is one of my fave's too! I love anything that has an animal theme. But the way the design is, truly captures what the wolf is trying to say here. I am mean, lean, not to be seen, and serene!
