Fall is best up here IMO, Late September to End of October'sh something about the crisp fall air and seeing the pumpkins out.. gets me all nostalgic for Halloween...Summer can be nice too. Just a lot of people up here during that time.

Poutine makes me tired. It sits like a rock in your stomach.
It can't be great with gravy from a can and regular cheese, you need the real cheese curds.
Our New York Fries kiosks at the mall makes it?!?!?!

Anyone hear of Tim Horton's?????????? It's supposed to be spreading in the US. Very addictive coffee - not as strong as Starbucks, but very very addictive, it wakes you up like nothing else, there has to be something "special" in it.

I tried the new york fries version of poutine and it was horrible. The only place I can ever get the really good stuff is when I go up north and hit one of those side of the road chip trucks.
everyone here in the North Country loves it... it is delicious yes... but I haven't had it in so long... right now I'm waiting on some Stuffed Peppers that will satisfy any hunger I have, mmmmm
I agree, I think it's strange that New York Fries are making poutine, but whatever works for them.
I think the US needs Tim Horton's, franchises are expensive.

We do here...good on the thicker style fries...i.e pier fries...but then again it's Maine....might as well call us Southern Quebec or West New Brunswick... lol 
I need to move to Canada now. Free healthcare, crackinated coffee and donuts, and poutine!
I didnt know tim hortons was rare... I have several near me. I didnt know it was anything special either.
Depending where you live in Canada it's &^%&in" cold in the winter.
Tim Horton's rocks here, but I could see how it might not catch on in the US, especially if they're selling it along side icecream. They're everywhere here.

I am shocked to see how many varietys there is. The only one I want to try so far is bacon, but I hear they have a breakfast version too with eggs and Canadian bacon.
OK, this thread is just not fair, now I'm hungry and hubby isn't home for me to make puppy dog faces at to get him to go fix me food, so I'll have to actually leave the computer and fix something myself. Yes I'm spoiled .
