The other day I got home form work, and as is my routine, I put my dead ego battery on the charger. A couple hours later we had one of those "wonderful" evening thunderstorms roll through. I lasted about 15 minutes, but we did lose power for about a half second. It was such a short drop, the cablebox reset, but the TV did not. A bit later I noticed that the battery charger had turned on the green light, so I took the battery off the charger. The next day, after the battery I had been using died, I swapped in the battery that I had charged the previous day. A scant couple hours later, the supposed fresh battery was dead. The eGo batteries usually last me a good 8 to 10 hours, and this one is dead in 2. I was upset. I thought I might have mis-swapped the batteries, but I noted the wear marks on the two different batteries and I knew that was not the case. Fortunately I was on the way home when the 2nd battery failed, so I didn't go into nicotine fits, but it was difficult to drive with being able to vape. At home, I placed both dead batteries on chargers and swapped in a third to get me through the night. At bedtime, both chargers were still showing red lights, so I left them until morning. The next morning, both batteries were charged so I swapped in the one that had previously failed. It lasted a full 8 hour shift at work, not failing until the trip home.

So I'm rather puzzled as to what caused the short life on that battery the other day. Could it be that something happened in the circuitry of the charger during the power drop that caused the charger to think that the battery was charged? I've had no other short battery life instances since then with any of the batteries, nor problems with either charger.
