Well, yeah. It gets complicated fast. Basically remember this forumla:

Watts = Voltage squared divided by ohms..... (P = V*V/R)

BUuuuuuuT... that's theoretical. It assumes the device can supply the needed power. Most people like around 7 or more watts. To get 7 watts out of a 3.4 device:

Ohm's Law Calculator

3.4 volts on a 1.5 ohm single coil atty/carto gives you 7.70667 watts.

There have been warnings about the 1.5 ohm stuff frying eGo style units... but I think those were concerns of the past. As far as I know it's OK now.

1.5 Ohm, I believe. When I put in a new carto I prime it with 40 drops in the open end and 6 in the other end then I put it in my tank and fill the tank. I do it the same every time and sometimes it just burns out really fast like that same day.

You are running each coil in that DCC at 4.8 watts. That is not hot enough to keep them clean, so your cartos plug up really fast.

Tj... can you confirm that the ego-c is 3.4 ish volts (I know it's PWM..but...)?

There are basically 3 different "C" batteries
    #1 3.4v
    #2 switchable between 3.4 & 3.7v
    #3 VV from 3.3 to 4.8v
