Power Surge on USB Port

When using some of the new premium cartos, generally the ones with the convenient rubber caps, on my pass through, I've got some cartos that I can't vape without getting a pop up on my computer that says "Power Surge on USB Port" and the power to the port cuts off until I unplug the PT.

I'm not complaining or anything. If the prems are drawing more power that is a-okay with me if it is in the name of better carto performance, I just thought I'd check and see if anyone else is experiencing this? I'm using an older style auto PT, but I only have this happen with prems, so I don't think it is a problem with the PT.

Funny, this happens regardless on my Mac....My pc's work fine butthe moment i press the button on my PT when it is hooked to my mac...a USB device is drawing too muc power error pops up. Just FYI

If you are using a desktop mac, you cannot use the keyboard USB...gotta be on the main system.

if you are using a powerbook, use the USB on the left hand side, not the right. That always seems to work for me, anyhow.

You should not be running them directly from your computor. I would recommend a usb router or an ac to usb adapter or 12 volt to usb for your car. That's just my opinion.

5 card, that is what they were made for....I use a macbook they are all on one side. and none or them work, as i said pc is fine but not my mac....plugged into ac or battery only.

toad, if this is the only place my mac falls short I am still overjoyed to use it over my pc's. in fact they are nothing more than an "extension cord" for me at this point as i surf with my mac and power my PT with a pc. to me that is all a pc is good for IMHO.lol

I get that a fair bit with my netbook, i never noticed before but now that ya mention it born it IS always on the right side, ill be using it on the left from now on.

OK, I will tell my story. I wasn't going to.

I charged my PCC case all night on my kazillion dollar 17" Macbook Pro.

It warped.

I mean it SERIOUSLY warped.

It is .... smilin.

Sigh.

I know I wasn't supposed to do that but it was like week one and I was excited.

Don't do that.
