Pre-Staging/Pre-Mixing, NIC/PG/VG, BEFORE adding Flavors. Good idea or not

I had some free time this weekend. And had plenty of NIC/PG/VG, and a bunch of empty bottles laying around. But I am waiting on my new flavors to show up to actually start making some new juice batches. So I decided to get all my supplies together and do my NIC cutting, down from 24mg to 12mg. PG/VG ratio to 50/50.

What I ended up doing is making 24 bottles of 12mg Nic at 50/50. All I need now is the flavorings to add and I'm all set. All the flavors I do end up at 20% total flavor so the volume will always be the same.
All bottles are plastic and are being stored tightly closed inside a closed box if it matters.

Does anyone else do it this way?
Is there any potential issues doing it this way?

I actually found this to be a pretty efficient way to work on this. Layout 3 liquids, 3 syringes. and do 1 bottle at a time. only took about 1 hour to prep 24 bottles just waiting for flavors to add.

Is this a good way to do this, or did I just waste a bunch of NIC/PG/VG and it's gonna be a wreck when I add flavors.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Generally, nicotine only loses strength, very slowly, from contact with oxygen. If it yellows, that's no big deal. If it changes flavor, I'd ditch it and never buy from that supplier again.

One thing "wrong" with premixing, which I also do in limited (250ml) batches, is that the actual, final, PG/VG ratio and nicotine content changes based on how much flavor is added. Most flavors use PG for a carrier and can effect the ratio a little more than you might think. Give this calculator a look, it'll demonstrate what I mean. When I do my "pre-stage" batches I mix based on my favorite ADV recipe and that allows for 12.5% flavoring without changing the final numbers.

When I did the calculations using ejuice me up. I allocated 20% flavor in the calculation, so it showed me my nic/pg/vg amounts, I only didnt add the flavor yet, but when I do it will be correct. I always make my batches of my favorites at 20% flavor so unless it goes rancid it should all work out correct?

If you keep it in a freezer it won't freeze and it should last for years without going rancid.

That calculator has a modify feature that lets you change an existing recipe and calculate how much of the original components need to be added to maintain the original ratios. It is kind of nice and handy.

I premix a base at 70PG , 30VG -18Nic often and then but this base in a bottle and add flavoring. I prepare the base based on 10% OG based flavoring but some are 3% while others are as great as 30% which means the PG / VG / Nic is not accurate. Not a big deal to me, some mix ejuice by pouring what looks like i/3 bottle of this anmother 1/3 of that and a few drops of this flavor and a few drops of another flavor o sweetner or whatever.

I keep records and tried and true blends get made the correct / accurate way for 30ml batches but being able to do some 3 to 5 ml trial batches fast and simple suits me just fine.

I do something Similar by Making Unflavored Nicotine Base at 15% Higher Nicotine than what I'm going to Vape. That way when I add my Flavoring and Sweeteners, I end up where I want to be Nicotine Wise. I Call the Diluted Unflavored Nicotine Base "Pre-Mix"

But I don't put the Pre-Mix into Small Bottles. I store it in a 250ml Glass Boston Bottle.

I premix an unflavored 19.5mg/ml nicotine solution, and only use recipes that require 5-10% flavoring for a mix. That gets me a range of 17.55 to 18.53mg/ml finished liquid, which hits my target of 18mg/ml within less than 3% error.

I do this premix in 120ml batches, currently.

If I have a mix that uses very little flavoring, I keep a 50ml dropper bottle of thinned VG to top off the batch.

Hoosier, I feel like I just got a letter from someone famous here... Like I felt when i met Muhammad Ali. :D.. I use ejuice me up calculator most of the time and the vast majority of those mixes end up at or near 20% total flavor. If mine ends up a little under 12% nic, no big deal, if I dont use 20% flavor and loose a few ml total volume, no big deal. I dont pre-mix the flavors, only nic/pg/vg in preparation for the 20% flavor to add. All this stuff is really taking alot of my free time, but I dont mind it at all. It's a fun hobby. and it keeps me occupied.

On a side note, My daughter is a pastry chef, and I showed her the flavors i have on hand and asked her opinion on what she could make with that. In like 5 minutes she came up with a boston cream pie (my favorite) that was pretty dang good right off the bat.
