See they are doing a remake of Footloose. Be a shame to do something original.
Actually, since Lost went off (R.I.P)I don't watch TV very much at all. There's just nothing good on now.
Lost finding way...
Tried BBT once and it just looked so dumb that I couldn't watch it again. NCIS... same type of crime drama that is done to death on every other station. I used to like House a lot. Then I got bored with it. I do love Dexter. Great show.
Chicago was OK. Didn't see Nine. Saw the musical of Rent and after seeing the actual broadway production, the movie was just wretched.
And that is precisely what I loved about Lost; it's originality.
It's got songs, it's a musical.. kinda like Indian (Bollywood) movies..
For me, depends on amount of music. Dirty Dancing, yes, musical. Butch and Sundance had a couple musical montages, but were not.
My wife and I have always watched Dexter together.. every single episode of it, every single season of it. We love it. But, we watch it on the PVR. I don't think I watch anything on actual "Live" TV.
House, I kinda lost interest after Season 4.. or was it 5?! not sure.. just so much you can take of somebody as Sarcastic as you are.
No! No! No! A musical is when the plot of the play/movie is mainly sung, not spoken! Dirty Dancing was a dancing movie, hence there was a lot of music in it because of the dancing!
Agreed, Rent the movie, meh. I can't believe they remade Footloose. Why don't they remake Casablanca while they're at it? I think they did.
I have been meaning to catch. Just haven't gotten around to it.

OMG! Dexter is suuuuuch a great character. He is so complex. And the actor who portrays him is genius. So good. I don't watch it live either. Don't get that station.
The sarcasm and wit are what I loooooooved about House. Hugh Laurie is amazing.

There are musicals that have lots of talking, and when the emotional moment comes, they break into song and dance. Dirty was borderline. It goes all the way back to operas where some have lots of recitatives/spoken dialog.

Agree to disagree... but definitely not a musical. None of the characters break into song in Dirty Dancing. They break into dancing.

The characters that play Dexter and Debra are perfectly cast. Did you know that they are actually married in real life, even though they are brother and sister in the show?! Kinda weird there.
Debra cracks us up with her gutter mouth expressions and Dexter with his cool and calm portrayal of a serial killer with a conscience is just amazing. Not quite sure where this season is going yet though..
