Tom, I love the old radio shows....In California there was a station that would do an hour at 9 pm.

The radio was the only thing I could listen to in the 1930's & 1940's. It was a lot better when we moved to town and had electricity. Before then, grownups didn't let us kids run the batteries down. They always made sure that the batteries were fresh so they could listen to the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday night.

Those old farm radios are worth money, BR.

I have a good number of Radios from the early to mid 20's. A few are restored, but most are built from scratch from plans using original parts. Either that or some of my designs. Back then there was more home built radios than manufactured ones. A friend of mine took some photos of part of them a while back. I don't know if you can see them from this URL, but maybe so.
