exchange server at work decided to celebrate by crashing so I've been a little busy with that today

No caffeine for me this late--I'd so be up all night.
No munchies either. DH & I ate after visiting his mom in nursing home rehab and I'm stuffed.

She lived in Arizona and fell which put her in the hospital. Evidently this was not the first time, but she wasn't telling anyone. Then we found out she has thrush in the mouth, arterial arteries are about 90% plugged, kidney infection, and swelling in the legs---so much that they are numb. That's pretty much the major things but are other minor things going on.
Last Thursday we got her back to Illinois where she will stay now---she is not happy about that but her doctor told her she can no longer live on her own.
She is going through physical therapy in hopes to get built back up enough to go in assisted living because she DOES NOT want to go into a nursing home. Her main medical is SS and as long as she is trying, and showing improvement, she won't have to go. We are sort of using that to give her the drive to keep trying. And praying she improves.

I'm sorry to hear that, Jan. My Dad is slipping a bit, but not too bad, I think a nursing home would kill him.
Oh well, getting old is inevitable for all of us. I want to die with my boots on, so to speak, but we really don't have a choice.
