Hehe, 00 x 10^0 with a tolerance of 5%, in other words, zero.
And that's why Firefox users are usually rabid in their dislike of IE (justified too). I'm just lazy, it's what comes with Windows and I don't bother to change it.
i like ie8 and have had precious few problems but i do pay attention to get the latest updates for java, etc

I think Java is kind of dead anymore. It seems most sites use Flash for embedded content these days. You can probably get by fine without loading it.
Until one seldom used program discovers that it's not there and then it will scream to the point that you would think you shot the Pope.

FYI - For you night owls, the Delta Aquarid Meteor Shower nears peak tonight. Not huge, but not blocked by bright moon either. Face south and look up around 1:00 a.m. +/- if interested. Should see maybe 15 or so per hour. Think I'll take a nap and get up (if I don't sleep thru). Who knows, Whis might see em early in the a.m. and tell us........... Don't forget to make a wish if ya see em!

A Pre-Vet is an ECF member that is about to have their status "Turn" to ECF-Veteran on or about the anniversary of their ECF sign up.
This thread is where you can hang out (courtesy of Whiskey creating this thread) and celebrate becoming an ECF-Veteran with other ECF members. You have the option (but not the obligation) to have an Avatar Theme Celebration on your turning day. You select a theme, and many of the group here will help celebrate by changing their avatars. Kind of an avatar costume party. You'll also get a bunch of congrats and a welcome thread created in a sub-forum for vets that pre-vets can't even see yet. If you want to have an avatar theme, start thinking about it! Try to give us enough advanced notice that we can dig something up for pics. Make sure you stop by 2 weeks prior to your turning date to put your name and theme on the list. We do our best to accommodate multiple members turning on the same date. Each member is free to choose their own theme; participants rotate and/or combine themes as desired.
Welcome again. Please feel free to participate in the themes for others if you wish. JerryRM posts a list frequently.
