I totally understand this!!!

Some printing is so little that I need reading glasses (I'm avoiding bifocals) and a magnifying glass to read!

Yup. I tried progressives and felt like I was in a fishbowl, so back to single vision, but on and off with the glasses. :grr:

Here's a trick - bright, bright lights. At our age, it seems that not as much light gets through the pupils so if there's not enough lighting, forget it. I find I see much better when it's well lit.

Most of the time I don't have to wear glasses. I'm not wearing them right now.
But I do have to wear them for watching TV and driving. The screen and lights are blurry. And then I have to wear the reading for up close. All in all I guess it's not too bad, but I use to have 20 / 20 vision so glasses are a pain.

I've been nearsighted since 14. Don't trust laser surgery and don't like contacts so it's been glasses all this time.

That's the nice thing about most, if not all, e-reader software; you can make the font bigger :D

Yeah, but you can't change the laws of geometry. If you have huge font on a small screen.

Then you should think bigger is better too!

Nah, been dealing with poor sight my whole life. My eye doctor said not to do the lasic, chances are wouldn't work well for me. Did suggest cornea transplant as an option; $5000 an eye w/o insurance coverage as it would be elective.

That sounds more painful than lasic and certainly damaging to the wallet.
