Sure it is, a delicacy. But it's very, very, very, very, very, very, very fishy. Not for me.

So... are you say'n it might be fishy? ;)

That's what you get when you let fish rot on a rooftop for a year and then make sauce.

Now, just so you know... I don't mean to offend anyone that makes this, loves this, or whatever. It's a cultural bias. Overall, the Thai people probably have more food sense than the Americans. However, I (having grown up in the USA) have a natural bias against this stuff/sauce. I have eaten Thai and probably will again. I'm just not gravitating to it very fast...... sorry.

I tend to trust old recipes than new. If people have been eating it for thousands of years, ought to be ok. My only bias is my own taste. If it tastes good, nature's already screened it for me. ;)

yep...and my kim chi has to be "fresh".....I don't like older stuff......ick....too much !
