Are you in an area with HD broadcasts? Some newer TVs can pick that up through the air. If you've got cable, I don't know. If you're talking converter for analog TV's, there used to be a voucher for it, not anymore. What you use it for?

Here's the deal...Up north I use a Roku box that connects to my internet and I grab Hulu and Netflix (with some success) into my TV. The Roku works pretty good and I'm not up North enough to shell out for Dish network. Down here I have cable, but sm looking for a box to pull in all the movies on my NAS and grab hulu and netflix also. (Am I making any sense here??)

Well, there's Apple TV, a tiny box, and there's Roku, very popular. Google has a Google TV. I don't watch much TV and hate commercials so I just use a PC, some free movies, some Netflix, sports, news, PBS. A lot of shows are available from network websites.

Network attached storage (basically a big hard drive ethernetted into the network). The Roku could be used, but I'm tryin to figure out a way to drag the cable side of it into the equation...Google tv can pull that off, but then you lose a couple other things...I gotta feeling it doesn't exist quite yet....

Sorry to hear about the allergies and sinuse issues continuing...we are to have our first freeze tonight, possibly, so hopefully our bothersome triggers will abate some.

I just do the dumb thing and switch input source when I was a DVD. It could get annoying. I haven't spent the time to figure out why that Win7 PC doesn't play DVD yet.

You might be out of luck, the grail, if you're looking for one integrated system.

I have just been day-shifting this week (mostly) and the confusion it wreaks on my internal clock is/has taken its toll, that is all.

The only thing I'd suggest is check Amazon. Someone did find solar USB chargers there.
