PMs notifying PreVets that they are approaching veteran status will not be sent out. Members must make it to the PreVet thread on their own, or with the help of a friend.:)

Please read the First Post in the PreVet thread for additional information.

Welcome to the ECF Pre-Vet thread!

And, as an added bonus, celebrating your special day with us entitles you to an entry in the Veteran 2012 Contest!

You can find further information here:http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/contests/256629-veteran-2012-contest.html

Times for our turnings are all Eastern and looked up by an ECF Moderator.
Dates are checked by at least two people but, when dealing with different time zones and the forum software not recognizing leap year, mistakes can happen. ;)

If you don't see yourself listed, or don't see a theme listed for your day and you want one, let us know.
Your presence on the PreVet thread is required if you requested an Avatar Party. Please, join us in advance of your turning time and enjoy the celebration.

LOLLLL I hear ya..when wife works from home and accesses the intranet at work her AV is a free version. Before I got a second PC I had to partition the 1 PC cuz I told the wife the financial institution required AV scored very low on tests...I trade the mkts so the last pain in the #$% I need is a poorly defended system with a high risk AV.

Afternoon flyby

Hi Becca!

Vapoor, I think I'm just as glad that i don't know the details about the corners that financial institutions cut- i'd just end up ticked off the rest of the weekend. and i don't wanna be ;)

i work at a university, and can't update java, cause some programs that i need once in awhile won't work with the new version, and yep, we also tend to use a free AV. Luckily, they have no problem with me adding things like malwarebytes too.

It's great that you can be here during the rain Fran. Fast and waterproof is good.

It might rain here, which would be nice, cause then i won't feel guilty about napping soon :)

Thank you very much CES...I only noted the date and not the time  and have been really busy with work lately.

As long as you know what time YOU need to be here in a couple of days :D (i always have to go back and check the time)

It's also really great when more and more people celebrate as much as as the real world permits... the more people that come by regularly, the more fun the thread is

University seems like soooo long ago. Graduated but never ever used my degree
I use:
AV= BitDefender- used to use Eset Nod 32 but...
Defragmenter= PerfectDisk
Spyware= Malwarebytes, SpyBot Search and Destroy, Lavasoft Ad Aware
Registry Cleaner= CCleaner
Also occasionally go here for free online scan. They provide for free so they can have a heads up on anything anywhere and can update/ patch their customers:
Free Online Virus Scan - Antivirus Software - Trend Micro USA

You're welcome. Trend Micro is a very reputable company and has been around a long time. If you dl/ use CCleaner make ABSOLUTE sure you have cleaned out/ moved your Recent Documents as it will delete all.

THANKS!! especially for the free online scan- i never know which of those types of sites are scams, so have never used one.

Thank you very much Atty Pops but I'm in Toronto Canada. In regards to FranC I had just checked the Weather Maps. Geese up here began flying formation 1 1/2 months ago- I think we're in for a nasty winter.
Thanks again Atty...I'm one of those crazies that actually enjoys storms

Vapoor... if you're still here.

The news said the storm by New York was nasty and possibly produced a TORNADO or two. Check the local news and alerts. :)
