The only difference I have noticed is the soft caps running a bit warmer. The convenience factor and excellent performance make these my preferred style.
Same here. OT..Toad is that a Great Dane in avatar? I love Danes. I don't have one but a friend of mine has 4 of them. If I didn't already have 4 dogs I would get one.

Yep that's Hans and he is a Great Dane. Amazing dogs if you can get over the size, and excellent for keeping watch over the house. He can be pretty intimidating if you aren't used to big dogs, but is just a big baby at heart. Maybe a bit spoiled too :)

I have to say I'm a little surprised by these responses. I have found that the soft cap cartos give me a much better throat hit and vapor than the hard cap version. I find that with the hard cap I am never sure when it needs a refill because sometimes I get a good hit and other times I don't. Sometimes that flavor is there, and other times, not so much. With the soft caps I feel I consistently get the throat hit I want and the vapor with every hit, and when the flavor goes down, I know its time to refill because of that consistency.

See, it's just the opposite for me. Different strokes!

This description almost makes it sound is if you think by "hard cap" we mean the regular old escuela cartomizer with the hard caps, in which case your description of the performance difference is spot on. But by "hard cap" we are referring to hard cap premiums.

Of course you could know what you meant and meant what you said and I could be saying what you didn't meant and meanting what you didn't say. But to me that description sounds like a premiums vs regulars description in general.

Well IMO ;D I can't really say I've noticed much of a difference in the performance between hard and soft caps. I do however highly prefer the soft caps. They do run a tad warmer than the hard caps but not enough to make a difference. If anything it seems to mildly increase TH which is always a good thing to me.

My vote still goes for the soft caps.

I'm amazed to see such varying opinions/observations.

Did V4L finally choose one specific manufacturer for carts and juice?

I got my first softcap premos and I love them!
I received a BlueBerry Cobbler freebie with my last order (Thank you V4L - I loved it!).
This was the first soft cap I had a chance to try.
I've been vaping about 1.5 hard cap premo carts a day.
This one lasted me all day. I noticed slightly better vapor too.
I did not notice it running hotter. Actually I think it ran cooler.
I'm chain vaping on one right now and it's NOT hot.
Less throat hit (?), but this could be due to flavor (?).
It was smoother... with less burn sensation (tongue burn). Again, maybe due to flavor.
I was disappointed to find all but one other pack of carts in my order were hardcaps :(
Soft cap removal seems easier, especially if all you have is something like a paper clip to remove it.
The hard caps are harder to get out without a good strong tool.
Not that I bang my teeth often, but it's nice not to at all.
My vote obviously goes to softcaps.

I've been going back and forth between the two trying them out and I'm still in the same place I started - I really can't say one is better than the other either way. Both are great improvements over the originals. The soft caps do seem to run a little warmer, but that isn't much of a difference. I've decided I love them both and don't care if V4L goes with one or the other as long as they stick to the premiums, which of course they will.

Holy sheep ...., that little section there totally, 100% twisted my brain when i read it. Caused a brain freeze of vocabulary proportions. But i get what you meant.:p

Hmmm...I've been continuing to switch between the hard cap and soft cap premiums. I'm using two of each and as my batteries are losing power and needing a recharge what I'm finding is that the soft cap premiums seem to continue to produce great vapor even as the batteries fade out - while the hard cap premiums seem to struggle when the voltage dies down.

As I said before, they both seem to perform fantastic on a fresh battery, and the soft caps seem to run a little warmer, but that was no big deal for me and I didn't see a big difference. But I think it is a big deal that I can get big vapor longer with a soft cap because they seem to perform better on a battery that isn't fresh off the charger.

Anyone else notice this? Realistically it will probably take me a couple weeks of switching between them to settle on a final personal verdict.
