Hi, I've been vaping (and smoke free) for the past 70 days. Wow I can't believe a arrived so far :) I am thinking of doing my own 0mg nicotine mix now. Do you think that mixing of 50/50 PG/VG in advance, would be good. If I mix, say 50ml VP with 50ml PG and than add the flavour to only 10ml of the mix at a time, which will last me for almost 2 moths, will the base still be good. I would rather avoid the hassle to having to measure every time I want to make a mix.

My idea is to have the base done and choose the flavour I want for the week and just pure some drops in it and be good to go.

Welcome to the ECF boards.

What you are proposing is the method, which I have been using for the past year since I started DIY.

I have been purchasing a 50pg/50vg and 30pg/70vg mixed unflavored nic base from Nude Nicotine. I mix small batches of 15ml to 30ml batches of fruit flavored juice.

I recently started to vape the unflavored nic base, as well. When desired, I will add a bit of fruit flavoring.

ETA: I store bottles of the nic base in the freezer for the long term.

cheers for all the replies.
what about letting the liquid steep? Excuse my ignorance but this is a brand new thing. I am assuming that when people say let the liquid steep, they are referring to giving time for the liquid to sort of settle down. is this something mandatory or i can just mix and vape straight away?

What I premix with flavorings usually sit for about a week or 2. When on the go with an unflavored base, it doesn't matter, I'm simply looking to dress it up a bit.

have you ever tried vaping the mix straight away?

Yes, that's when I just add a small amount of fruit flavoring to the base. Menthol is a good quick add, as well.

Sometimes, I just want a quick change in the flavor profile.

ETA: Now, I primarily vape with a bottom feeder. As such, it's a snap to add flavoring into the 6ml onboard juice bottle.

The only mixes that tend to use distilled water are mixes with very high VG. You use it if you need it to thin down the VG a bit. Just be careful and only add a few drops at a time to get it right.

I use high PG mixes so have no experience with using DW. Maybe someone who has more experience with high VG will chime in and help.

ETA: You have enough posts to go ask your question in the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/ forum now. You'ld get a lot more answers from experienced DIYers there.
