I expect Evolv to address this in the future. Just come up with you a system to remind you if you have to, like marking your batteries for + or -. It just habit for me to double check and I guess it's the same anyone who has used a dna for any length of time.

The 3 OKR devices I've built didn't include over current protection, reverse protection, or even battery over-draw (whatever you want to call it)

I usually triple-check that the batteries are inserted properly

Here's some pics of the hydrographic, I think it came out fantastic. I ordered the polished white plastic from shape ways then they painted it steel blue and overlaid a carbon fiber print. They said I was able to assemble it right away but it will take 72hrs to fully cure.

That picture gives me the following wild-eyed idea: What George CADed up up some "mandrels" consisting the empty space inside the mod's shells and we had them printed? Then we find someone to lay up some actual carbon fiber on them. I would think the mandrels could be reused a number of times. Making the outer shells out of real carbon fiber would produce some pretty classy mods, no?

I will post a higher res pic once everything is built, thats as good as my ipad/tapatalk can get for now. The onboard fire button was one thing that confused me, I saw that it was snipped in your pic's but I dont remember reading anything about that. Why snip? Is it just a space issue?

Yes a real carbon fiber mod would be sickastits and I would definitely buy one.

The DNA will fit with the on-board fire button in place, but there's basically zero clearance:

And if you squonk too vigorously, you may find the mod firing unintentionally.

that's the spirit! It's actually easier to solder small stuff like this. Takes less than a sec when soldering a contact.
