I did...but they dont allow part grouping so the internals will be the similar to the new shapeways price. I wasnt going to mention that back plate thingy....

Shapeways new pricing impact.

There as too many combination of how you can put a device together but here are a couple of loose examples. Assuming using WSF as the internal, here is about what will happen for the following complete sets-up in certain materials.

White will increase ~$6
Black will stay about the same
Alumide will increase ~$17
White Polished will increase ~$4

Colors look very similar to White Polished.
Stainless steel rings will decrease ~$2

I would not wait if you want extra or a spare WSF Internals. That looks like ~ $8-9 increase just for that one model and is driving the majority of the cost increase for all models except Alumide. Shapeways will soon be charging per part in a model, vs currently where the entire model is considered one part. Also, Alumide material cost skyrocketed, I would not wait if I was getting that material.

On a side note, I has special request for the Internals in Alumide...that model will increase by $14!!!! If someone really wants Alumide Internals, I would run for that one.

I dont know the criteria they use, but I have never received a coupon and I have had part in my cart on and off over the last 10 months. Maybe they do it just for new accounts?

I got one on my last order, which was my second time ordering from SW. I'll go add something to my cart and see what happens. Maybe it's just a one time per account thing

Funny how they made it sound like the price for the majority was going down and still managed to get more from Us
I never got a 10% discount email either after more than a week I pulled the trigger on #3 gdeal. Glad I did looks like prices are going up
My first order for 2 complete units finally shipped today 2 weeks late but better late than never, now I just hope I don't get any unpleasant surprises like some of the others that have posted

They probably use the same model computer and software as the Department of Labor. In all likelihood, the number of people falling into that 75% is close to zero.

I suspect the coupon runs on an algorithm. One input is almost certainly location. I live literally across the river from SW. I suspect I would get these coupons more often, as their shipping cost to me is close to nil (First Class next day). International addresses I'd reckon would be the least likely to ever get one.

I have ordered 5 times, and when I loaded my latest 6th cart, it took around 2-3 days to get the email coupon.

Another is probably dependent on their queue. If their backlog drops below certain levels, they kick up the coupon density.

It looks that way. I know its a hassle but, if you get smaller parts, do the nice email to shapeways template I posted earlier, they typically replace it for free and then hold on to the part for a trade or a much cheaper future mod. They really should pay attention more closely.

I am still here. Spent a lot of yesterday looking for a window of good weather to spray coat a v3.1 in Duracoat. Nothing quite annoying as a sneaky breeze whisking away the expensive stuff.
