That's what fasttech used on my Derringer's that still are not here. I am just gonna buy another stateside. Anyone got a link to the SS centerpost model in US?
FYI: I got that one you got, from bestpriceecig... it's great. I just replace the post with my already b/f rogue post, worked great. But I just ordered another clone few days ago from ezvapor.com, the derringer was 35 shipped and it comes with the rda, a SS cap, a black cap, a white cap, and a copper cap AND a white drip tip! All for $35 shipped! It should be here by Friday. The D has a copper post but I'll rig up another SS one! Couldn't resist for that price and all those accessories.

I also have a CH authentic derringer coming here in the next few weeks!

As you can see I love the Derringer!!!

My Nuppin is still second best!

I am not quoting both of you...so Muzichead just assume your quoted too.

I dealt in procurement for a while, there is no excuse for piss poor management of the shipping department. My last charge from them was 27 bucks. They sent a tube 7ft long x 6" in diameter and almost 3/8 thick wall for my order. So the allthread was 6 ft. No problem. Super heavy tube, crazy but i could live with it (even though i know they have thinner from past orders). But then a 24x24x24 box to hold 3 or 4 tiny bags of screws that would have fit 100 times over in the tube. That is abusing the "handling fee" and was obvious to me then they were charging me per box or getting some percentage back from UPS. Most places i buy from tend to value the customer buying parts and coming back. And with all I purchased that day, i was well above any min purchase price. Sure they do have a lot of items in stock, but they aren't the only mill supply. And Amazon warehouse's are like a city. Usually with me they are accurate, efficient and on time with 95% or beter of my orders. Even before Prime, they made their money on merchandise and not squeeze the customers for "handling fees". That reminds me of the underhanded practices of a lot of sleezy ebay sellers. Especially at a time when all major services offer free packing boxes. Last time i checked and online business has to handle a product for it to be actually shipped. That should be figured into your product price instead of being underhanded and applying at the end....ans they won't even tell you the rate until they ship. Sure you can delay shipping and wait for an estimate. Maybe you'll can defend and live with it, but that last charge was a bunch of BS and i refuse to deal with that.

Can't disagree with you at all, but first you need to understand that which is McMaster-Carr... They have been in business since 1901, family owned and ran... They are not the only mill supply out there, but they are one of the largest MRO's in the world. Not only are they one of the largest, they are probably the busiest, and have the largest inventory. They not only sell to suppliers, but end users also. Not many MRO's will do that. I would say second behind them is MSC Industrial Supply. They do cater more towards the industrial supply part of the business though. Machinery tool and supplies. McMaster has everything and caters to everyone. They also have lower prices than the majority too. I am not sure about today, but back when I purchased from them, everything in there inventory was US made goods. Not sure if that is the same today though. I would tend to doubt it.

I used to buy from them when I had my own company in the 80's / 90's so I know how they operate. I'm not defending them in any way, just trying to give you some insight as to who and what they are. They "almost" single handedly put Grainger out of business back in the 90's... Grainger had to start selling Chinese tooling just to stay competitive. They had, and may still have, some real idiots working in their shipping department though. I never understood why they would take a box of screws that would fit in a 3x3x3 box and ship it in a 24x24x24... The way it was explained to me was they actually saved money by purchasing and shipping out of certain boxes or packages. It was a cost thing. This way they didn't have to stock 100 different sizes of boxes. When you standardize on 20 different size boxes and buy larger quantities, there is money to be saved in the long run. Being a business owner, this made total sense. It costs no more to ship either box. The weight differential is less than a pound and UPS charges the same amount for either size box... The reason your tube cost so much was it was oversized and UPS does charge extra for that, so it was passed onto you... Bottom line is there products are cheaper with a little more freight and Amazon's parts are more expensive with cheaper freight and usually it will almost be a wash cost wise... The difference is your package from McMaster will get to you 2-3 days quicker...

Ok. I'm not wanting to check through this thread and the gdna thread to find my answers (I'm lazy), but I have a few questions that I know were answered.

1. Where do I get the small "airbrush can" that you can fill with your own color?

2. What's the best clear coat (with some kinda grip) that I can buy for this? Is it cearacoat or something (I remember that you bake it in the oven)?

I got my parts kits and my sculpteo parts (finally), so im ready to start. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, I will be sure to watch out for that. The one I have so far doesn't have any issues like that and works amazing. It came with the copper center post and I changed it out with a replacement post from Fatdaddy (lot of modification to get it to work).

Be wonderful if we found a pin somewhere that could be purchased along which would actually fit better. It would be cool if that guy who mods them sold just the pin. What is his name? Catfish or Chowderhead, I get that confused?
Chowderhead, catfish is the thread. He does have pins drilled for derringers.. not sure if he'd sell you just the pin though.. wouldnthurt to ask. His price for a send in for it is $30

You'll can explain away till your fingers fall off, the point of my original post stands! Sculpteo can ship UPS from France for $6.50 and M-C charges me double to ship it 150 miles, that's BS! I don't care about anything else dealing with the company!

Sculpteo can't ship UPS from France to the US for $6.50. They are trying to get a business model off the ground and are eating massive losses on shipping until they open a full US shop and you will then still pay $6.50 shipping for your product.

Gdeal. Sculpteo replied with a no on the reprint. They said it is normal. The edges get darker because they are edges and the streaks are a nature of printing. Lol. Anyway I started sealing. The alkyd looks beautiful on the beige. It gives it a warmer tint.

By the way, when you designed the 2.1 button hole did you do it to look smooth on the small button or the big? Because when I'm dry fitting the big it looks weird. What say you?

That's why I have 5 color prints at OCD Mods, getting the cerakote treatment in the same colors.

Sorry to hear that....Whats going on with the buttons? Here is the high version on the left and the low profile on the right. Both are fully extended. You have something different?

mpNbVQ2.jpg
Nothing wrong with the buttons. I just thought the big one with that chamfer up looks weird. The low one looks having better continuity. But looking at your pics both look great :D.

The higher one will have better in-use ergonomics.
Oh yeah for sure. I have both my Peko with the tall button. One day when I had one of mine apart I tested The low rider button and didn't like it at all because I couldn't adjust or get a grip to turn and lock it. My mods always in a pouch in my pocket and don't want a chance of firing.. so I quickly switched back to tall buttons.
