Pro C1 Coils burning at low wattage

Using in the Joyetech Procore Aries tank. The .4 ohm versions.

So I've been using the coils for quite some time now with great performance. My last coil I put in seemed to be having horrible wicking issues where any more than a couple seconds on a hit it would burn badly. I swapped for a new coils and this is having the same issues.

I used to run it at 50 watts and had no problems at all. Now it wants to burn up in no time at anything higher than 35 watts.

My mod, an eVic Primo 2.0 is reading the impedance accurately.

Anyone experience this lately with these coils?

while i dont have the aries tank, i used those coils in my AIO. i will ask the silly questions first, just to get them out of the way.
how are you priming the coils? are you dripping onto the cotton then letting it absorb so that they are fully soaked prior to installing them? or are you installing them and letting it sit for a few min prior to vaping?

what kind of juice are you running (pg/vg ratio)?

now for the interesting questions: are these coils recently purchased from a new supplier or from your normal supplier? are you using a new juice? has anything aside from the problem you posted about changed?

So I think I found the issue. I noticed in the couple of coils that had problems, the top of the coils didn't have much cotton as if it was pushed down. This was likely causing them to get way hotter than they should have been thus the quick burning.

Sounds like a quality control issue. I've used a couple coils since then with no problems.
