Well that's nice. Had this for maybe three weeks. Laid it down in the seat of my truck and the whole glass tank just came right off the base. Had a full tank too.

I'm guessing my juice ate away at the glue. It looks all chewed up. I thought that was why one bought an expensive tank like this. That was $23 wasted. Going to see if vendor will replace it.

Molecules cause reactions with other molecules because they fit into their puzzle-like requirements. The plastic molecules play a role in the reaction as well as whatever PH imbalance it may be. To keep it simple, tissue doesn't engage the molecules the same way the polycarbonate does, plus whatever glue the protanks use.

The OP shouldn't have to do anything. Kanger says it's pyrex to stand up to cinnamon juices and such. I've seen a few of these. They were not Kanger products. Just a cheap clone. If the maker of the product says it won't be effected then they need to stand by their word.
I agree he shouldn't HAVE to do anything.

I was putting out there an option in case he WANTS to salvage the situation. Not many people even know there IS a food grade epoxy out there.

I thought the original protanks had this issue with the glue that sealed the components together? I thought that was the real difference between the original and new ones. The new ones were actually threaded and made more like a tank you want to own.. I hope I didn't come off not being a fan in that last statement.

You are exactly right. SOME of the PT1 had this exact problem with the glue which is how I know about the epoxy as a friend had the problem.

My PT1 is still going strong though I don't do much cinnamon I do other tank crackers.

Just so people are aware - 99.999% of us hold the tank by the glass or the upper section when removing the base. This can and may well have weakened the Glue holding the assembly together. The only sure fire way to know is duplicate e-liquid use while always holding the tank by the lower section to remove/install base.

From the pictures - The Pyrex is undamaged, The parts are not damaged. I'd Glue it back together with the food grade silicone before I went through all the trouble of returning(IF Approved) for another that could suffer the same demise. After all a replacement will be built exactly the same way.

My original Protank 1 (without the triangular shaped part visible inside the bottom of the tank) came apart in the 1st 2 weeks of using it almost a year ago. Back then I just used some superglue gel and glued it back together and let it dry, and it has been vaping just fine ever since. My updated Protank 1, with the triangular inner section, has been vaping fine for a couple of months without any problems at all.
