Hello again everyone I've been away from ecf some but am back in need of some insight.

I am considering getting a pro vari mini. I've found that I like the smaller form factor and am trying to determine how big and how much this device weighs. The product dimensions are on the web site but I can't locate a weight. Anyone know what it is on the mini?

I already have a pure smoker Legacy (full size). I like the device a lot but find it to be unwieldy at time. It's just to big and heavy for every day use. I only use it at home. I want something pocketable.

So is the pro vari mini going to be as heavy as a Legacy? I can't really imagine it weighing more than a Legacy.

I have a regular Provari with the extension cap that I used to take with me everywhere. It does have some heft to it admittedly, and is not the most pocketable device. I thought about possibly getting a Mini Provari for out-and-about usage and stealth vaping at work, but at the present time I couldn't rationalize the price of another Provari + batteries.

I did some research to see what all is out there. My criteria in my search was something lightweight, pocketable, variable voltage, not too expensive, abiltity to be used in some stealth situations, and able to use my large selection of cartotanks.

I came up with the Smoktech variable voltage Gripper. $50. Fits all the above criteriea to a "T". Very nice LED display and easy menu system. Reads ohms and battery voltage. Rubberized impact-resistant plastic case.

For its small size, this thing packs a punch! Fits inside my hand great, love the rubberized finish. About the size of a regular sized pack of analogs, so will easily fit in a shirt or coat pocket. It has even survived a couple of drops onto asphault in the parking lot when getting out of my car and forgetting that I laid it on my lap. Not a scratch or crack.

The fact that it uses the same 18650 battery as my extended Provari and my backup Silver Bullet is a plus; one battery has been lasting me over a day. PBusardo gave it a thumbs up, and I do, too.

I have a Gripper and I love it, but to me it is not pocketable. It's the boxey dimensions versus a tube that can just be slid into a pocket. The Gripper I have trouble getting in and out of a pocket. I love the device, don't get me wrong but it's sorta cheaply made and lightweight. Is it worth the $50, it surely is but I'd be afraid of dropping it while out and about. I use it at home and in the car sometimes but I need something I can take to work. Thanks to all who responded.
