Got my GLV2 today with no batteries since they are back ordered atm. So ran to radio shack and picked up a couple 3v non rechargable 123a's per another thread in this forum. I put a 510 carto on it to test it out, I could hear it firing, but hardly no vapor at all, and the draw is very airy. So I tried a reg 510 atty with a drip tip. Again I hear it firing, but almost no vapor at all. I tried a different atty, and same thing. No vapor or very very little. Tried a different Carto, and some vapor but nothing like my 3.7v with a LR atty.

Is it the batteries I bought, did I get a broke mod, or am I doing something else wrong? I thought I'd be blown away with this, and so far I'm quite disappointed. I have the 5v version. so far I just feel like I'm sucking on a big warm straw.

I wouldn't use those Batts there unprotected and stacking those Batts would be foolish unless you found throw a way's that where protected in my opinion, also its not the mAh it is the charge in them that matters most, if they where not of proper charge this might have happen like explained with a light sizzle on the Atty, again just my opinion

Its the batteries for sure, and you should never use them ..or any unprotected batteries. If you heard a sizzle your GLV is working, all you need is the proper batteries.

AW ICR-123 li-ion 3.7V 750mAh Protected battery

Jay, if you see this post did the batteries and charger come in yet? I thought I read in another thread you where expecting them on the 27th of last month. If so they should be here any day now! :D

Those are the suggested (by Jay) batteries. That is what most of us use. They are the safest battery to use. Sorry someone didn't answer you sooner.

Woohoo! Finally got the batteries today and man what a difference when you use the correct batteries!! I love it!!! Thanks Jay and Sara for the quick response and delivery of them. I'm using 510 cartos and I could not be more impressed. This is my first HV vaping experience other than using lr atty's on my ego. I love it, it's soo much warmer and soo much more vapor!! This is soo much better than a 3.7 volt experience you have to try it!! Thanks again Jay and everyone there, you really make an outstanding product!!
