Hi, so I've been DIYing for about a year and some change now, using exclusively TFA products. So recently I've decided to start branching out. I've heard nothing but glowing reviews about Capella, so I decided to give them a shot. I ordered Capella Apple Pie, Cinnamon Danish Swirl, and NY Cheesecake. They smelled absolutely AMAZING so I just knew they had to be good. Well long story short they all turned out horrible. I mean the taste was good (except for the Cheesecake, there was something sour going on there, but that's a side problem) but there was a very harsh presence. I experimented from 3% to 15%, no good. So I just chalked it up to a bad batch or something.

*1 month later*
So I decide to give Capella another chance since I was in the process of restocking some TFA flavors, so I went ahead and bought Capella Chocolate Fudge Browine, Lychee, and Boston Creme Pie. Same exact story: smelled amazing, high hopes, good taste, horrible harshness. I mean it's bad, it can barely be inhaled without a fit of severe coughing following, my friends have the same problem, and they usually like my TFA mixtures.

Idk what to do about this, I must be doing something wrong because like I said there have been nothing but postive reviews about Capella. If anyone has any ideas about why I'm having this problem, any suggestions would be great. I would hate to have 6 useless Capella bottles in my cabinet Thank you!

Well you picked some horrible flavors. Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Lychee. Not tried the Boston creme pie.
Sounds like you may be mixing too strong.

I cannot handle TFA. Something in most of them I am allergic to.
Most CAP flavors treat me fine.

The apple pie and CDS are fine but not to be mixed strongly and a bit of vanilla custard helps both of the. and maybe a bit of double apple in the apple pie as well.

Let them steep a long time, up to a month. I don't think I have ever had a Capella flavor that was a shake and vape.

The Chocolate Fudge Brownie is actually a good flavor. As with ALL chocolate it takes forever to steep them. Even longer than their cheesecake and most vanillas. Mix some up and forget about it.

Ahh that actually might be what it is. I'm a shake and vape guy, I rarely steep for longer than a week. Thank you! Would would you say that The Chocolate Fudge Brownie needs longer than a month?

Probably. Since I don't use chocolate that much in my vapes, I only mix 15ml at a time so steeping time is less than a 30ml bottle. I cheat on chocolate in that I mix that up separately then in a another bottle I add some of the CFB and a little of steeped coconut. For me that was the only way I could ever get a good vape from it. And I do that to taste.

Vanilla Custard V1 is shake and vape.
Also I think the Cinnamon Danish and other cinnamon flavorings may be a bit rough at higher wattages.

I have both of those flavors but haven't used them yet. Too busy using others. LOL. But I will get to them at some point.

Here is a CAP Shake and vape.
120 ml batch.
4 ml CAP Vanilla Custard V1.
1.5 ml CAP Whipped Vanilla Cream.
6 drops Nu Naturals liquid stevia.
Balance in 50/50 PG/VG.
Nic to you level.
Shake well and let sit over night. A bit better if steeped for a week but not a lot better.

Not over 5% with about 1-2% vanilla custard or Vanilla whipped cream and 1-2% double apple in the apple pie.

I'll have to try the apple pie with the vanilla whipped cream. I tried tha apple pie months ago but didn't like it. I also mixed it at 10%. I'm going to try again with your percentages.
