Problem with coils on Aerotank vs same coils on Evod2

I am asking for help because I feel like I might doing something wrong. I have an Aerotank I use with an I-Taste VV 3.0 and a Evod2 I use with a Visiontech Spinner. I vape Mountain Oaks Virgina Flake RY4 on both. For the life of me, I seem to get muted flavors and a burnt taste on my Aerotank with the I-Taste and yet my Evod 2 with the spinner produces great flavor despite not even being able to break 4 volts. I get maybe 1 good coil in 3 my Aerotank that lasts a week, but on the Evod 2 I never have a problem with the exact same coils, and they regularly last weeks. It doesn't seem to matter what I with the Aerotank, whether I use lower voltage/wattage (3.6-3.8 volts/7 watts) or higher voltage/wattage (4.2-4.5 volts/9-10 watts) or anything in between, it does the same thing. Using the Evod 2, simply rinsing it with water occasionally works great, while even soaking in alcohol doesn't usually help much on the Aerotank.

I tried switching batteries, but on the aerotank I simply get the same muted flavors without the burnt taste without being able to pump up the voltage. The Evod 2 on the I-Taste won't barely draw air.

Is there something I could be doing wrong that burns up the coils on the aerotank? Am I using too much air. I tried using low air like I get on the Evod 2 and it didn't seem to help. I have used both for about 3 months. I initially chalked it up to using too much voltage on the Aerotank, though I assumed a dual coil would be able to hand well over 4 volts. Yet weeks of practicing using lower voltage doesn't seem to help either. I could have simply been extremely unlucky with coils on the Aerotank, but after going through dozens by this point, it doesn't seem to be likely.

The nice vape on the Evod 2 is nice, but having to constantly refill because of the design is annoying. I also would like my more expensive set-up to actually work. Any help would be appreciated.

I think I may have figured out the problem. I read an older thread about that said if you tighten it too much it crushed the rubber seal at the bottom which affects the connectors and causes it to burn off. The bottom of the aero battery connector moves up and down and apparently I may have been tightening it too much pushing the connector into the bottom of the coil compressing the rubber way too much. The evod 2 fits snug on the spinner and won't let me tighten too much. It seems to be working great now keeping the coil fitted just snug instead of tight and making sure I don't tighten the aero too much.
