Here's a mathematical representation of what is happening. Your coil is .3 ohm resistance and you set the mod to 80 watts. The mod delivers 4.9 volts to the coil to do that. When it jumps to .5 ohms, and is set to 80 watts, it thinks it needs to deliver 6.33 volts to do the job. So in reality it is delivering 6.33 volts to a .3 ohm coil which is actually 133 watts. ouch

Okay, there are a few things that can cause your issue.
*No liquid - after 5 hits, check
*Poor Coil connection - Check screws
*Poor RTA to Mod contact - Check and clean
*Defective Mod reading incorrectly - Sudden Hot Hits

** Loose coils or Dirty connection at Mod usually result in High ohm Readings.
Mod Boost power to deliver set wattage to incorrect reading coil and vape gets crazy.

If the .3 ohms is a crazy huge build like claptons @ 1/4" ID, then 80-100W is fine. If it's a simple coil, that's WAY too hot. Turn down the wattage to 50W or less.

It's a sleeper build clocking in at around .3 ohms.. So dual coil.. My gf has the same Turbo, and hasn't had this problem once, so I usually end up using her. It's really ....ty how unreliable some of the RDA's are out today. I mean they're not THAT expensive but still a waste of 40$
