Problem with sx350 in seven30 mod!!

I recently replaced my seven30's sx300 board with a sx350. Everything went pretty smoothly minus some problems getting some attys to make proper connection with the positive pole.

But recently everytime I hit the fire button it makes a clicking sound (not the sound from the firing switch!! ). It does not make the sound while scrolling through the menu using the firing button, only while actually trying to fire up the atty... And also shows "Check Battery" on the display.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this? I have torn apart the mod and dont notice anything out of the ordinary. Worked great, then all of a sudden just started being problematic.

sounds like its shorting on something. ive only had that clicking sound when there was a short somewhere related to the atty...the connector, the atty itself... im sure youve checked the atty, but try checking the atty connector and connections. if you havent tried a different atty, try that first before ripping it all apart.

I'd agree there's probably a short somewhere

I tore it all apart but didn't notice anything abnormal. I imagined it was a short. Not sure if there is a certain area or something that would cause this or if these boards are known to do it in certain shorted situations.

it might be your 510 connector, sometimes the isolators tear and cause shorting. maybe take a look at that.

Humm.... maybe your battery cant handel the demands of the chip? What battery are you using?
I have a brand new mod I just built and I hear that slight click too I think it is the teroid being energize under load.
Common in rf circuits like linear amplifiers.
