Problematic Cartomizers

I have been vaping for 2 months and purchased many different PVs.
I like dripping, but when I am at work I use cartomizers.
I have Bloog, V4L, Volt, Titan, Generic, GreenSmoke, Ego, etc
I have ordered cartomizers from most of the above, and some of them just do not work.

Am I alone in getting 1 or 2 bad cartomizers in every 5 pack?
I think most of the problems are dry prefilled cartomizers.

So far, I have not recevied a bad one from GreenSmoke, but I can't afford them any more.
Bloog was good, but I had to let the cartomizers sit for a week before using them.
V4L a few were overfilled and others were dry. (ordering a couple more packs tonight, fingers crossed)
Volt was pretty consistent, but again I had to let them sit for a week.

I think I should just start getting blanks and do it myself.
That way I know they are filled.

rwnielsen is right on the money. CCV has cordoned a pretty loyal following of carto users here at ECF, myself included. Besides guaranteeing everything he sells, even cartos (he might be the only one to do this,) the customer support is great, quality is spot on (I'm 30+ cartos deep both Ressurectors and Boge with 0 DOA) and shipping is free in the continental US.

CCV cartos are a great. I've been using their 1.7 LR and dual coil mega cartos and have no complaints. Out of the close to 25 or so that I've used so far I have not had one that was DOA yet. They also come with a syringe for filling and a drip tip when you order the 15 pack. It's a nice little bonus. For the money, they're hard to beat IMO.

Buying pre-filled stuff is a waste. You can get much higher quality liquid if you buy it separately from other vendors. I've been very happy with Tasty Vapor and Gourmet Vapor.

A friend of mine has a Greensmoke e-cig and I was not at all impressed with the carts that he got with it. It was a rip-off overall.

For 808 - you know which cartos you like for 808 so you can buy blanks at the same places. I have great use out of my cartos with juices that have 20% VG or less and a couple of V4L WOW juices, and I avoid all juices that seem to drop a bunch of flavoring sediment because that just causes a clogged mess in cartos.

And for 510 Boges are most popular and CCV has a great deal on them.

Is a leo an 808 or a 901? You can get an inexpensive adaptor to use 510 cartos on it. Good Prophets & Mad Vapes sell them.

Obviously I drip all the juices until I find the ones I like, then fill the cartos.
It would be a waste to use a carto for a bad juice, I find once they are filled some flavors stick around, even if you empty them.

I use the Bloog, Vapor4Life, and Volt at work.
In the car, or at home, I use 5v 510 passthrough.
I just ordered the Variable Voltage Ego Passthrough from GotVapes.com in the hopes of consolidating and using one device for all scenarios.
Can't wait for that to arrive.
Other than that, I am looking at the 5v GLV (I like the passthroughs at 5V, so I want a portable 5v device that is not a monster box)

Honestly, I don't think I've ever had a single cartomizer that was DOA. Some have been slower to fill and the usage/performance sometimes varies slightly.

I buy enough blank cartomizers for both me and my husband and we've been using cartomizers for quite a while. Crazy luck? We use Boge LR 510 cartomizers.

Goodprophets has the best price I've seen at the moment (US). I've also purchased Boge LR 510 cartomizers from Puresmoker (mostly) and Madvapes. If Goodprophets keeps up that price they'll be my new supplier but I have purchased the same cartos from them before. It looks like CCV also has a good price. =D

Only downside is you have to wait 2-3 weeks to receive them . If your not in a rush to get them its not a problem . Came to around 47.00 shipped for 50
