I've got one stardust that is giving me fits. I have several other that are working fine but one of them from the beginning took a long time to "Break In". Since then I do seem to be having quite a few dry hits. Even left it laying on its side ovenight to see if it would saturate better. I tried slightly lifting the silicone seal on the ceramic cup but it went right back to it's wicked ways. I almost hate to complain about these things because they have been the best thing I think I have bought in the e-cig world.

Any suggestions??

It sounds as though the mouth piece is pressing the cup seal too firmly into the wicks. There are several things people have tried. I haven't had to mod any of these yet so I cannot verify the efficacy of any of these methods.

1. Grind down or file down the bottom of the mouth piece, then pull the cup seal up. May cause leaking.

2. Pull down the battery pin connecticut a touch, then pull up the cup seal. May result in a broken or damaged unit.

3. Actually mod or trim the cup seal (requires taking it completely out). May result in a leaking unit.

Personally, I would suggest trying to pull the cup seal up and trying the mouth pieces from your other stardusts to see if there is one that behaves better.

Hope some of this might help.

You may have one with a bad coil wrap. One of mine, in fact the first one I used from the 2nd shipment, wicked very poorly, and gave me nothing but burnt hits even at 3v. Granted this was with Boba's Bounty molasses, but the same juice is a vaping monster in the other Stardust I use it in.

An autopsy revealed that the coil was wrapped so tightly around the wick that it essentially choked off the flow of juice to the center of the wick. When fired, only the outer two wraps produced vape, while the middle wrap would immediately glow orange.

All seven of my other Stardust in rotation have been wonderful, including the next 3 from shipment #2. So like any other e-cig device, stuff happens.
