ARRRRGGHH.... thats the sound I make as I take a third hit off a carto and get that dreaded burnt carto vape.

I have tried everything. First I tried just a carto... condom filled from bottom. Topped off until it seemed like the carto wouldnt soak in any more (20-30min for filling). Took like 6 hits...dry carto....

So I punched two holes into the carto, stuck it into a tank, let it sit for 20 min.... took a hit...dry carto....

So I put another .5 - 1ml into the carto....still in tank.... hit it like 3 times....dry carto??? WT*.....

Ok so adivce folks? Do I have a bad carto? should I try and refill a new one??? Im dying to get a vape going to really try Boba's.... My rootbeer from AVE vapes great, but does seem a bit thinner.

I know others thin their liquid, but personally, I use a tank with a carto that I slot on both sides. Every so often, I take a large, dry pull on it. You need to be able to see air bubbles coming up from the slots, otherwise, the liquid isn't entering the carto. It's pretty much the only way I can vape BB or GJ, everything else I've tried doesn't seem to work very well.

Try using a syringe to fill. Stick the needle all the way in and slowly pull it out as you fill, then do the same on the opposite side. VG can take a long time to fully soak in to the filler, but once it's been fully saturated it soaks in better on subsequent top-ups. In a tank I've had very little trouble with it. I haven't used BB in a carto, myself (with the exception of a tanked Boge with two good-sized holes punched), this advice is based on my experience with all-VG juice in cartos, in general.

I will try soaking a carto until it comes out.. the other end.... it very well could be the top and middle are throughly soaked but the bottom is still dry. Good point.....

I run mainly boge SR and LR on my Reo's and at HV since they're bottom feeders I don't even need to prefill my cartos just slap them on do a couple of dry pulls while pushing on the bottle of juice (aka blind squonk) good to go and I run mainly 100% vg juice and lots of bobas I also chain vape and usually have no problems:)

I think I definately fried the first carto so I started over. Hummm I thought I had syringe bottles in my arsenal of scale armor modeling.... but all I had are the plastic kings of applicators. Off to a hobby shop I go.

Porphy....if this isnt proof how badly I want to try Boba's then I dont know what is. I just cannot get bobas to wick via any normal means of Carto saturation :) My hope is once I get the NEW carto completely wet, and drill it out again to make two big *ss holes in it...it will wick from my tanks.

Thank goodness I LOVE LOVE LOVE the rootbeer...I would be seriously peeved if I couldnt vape at least one of the juices by now..lol. WHich BTW...I have vaped about 10ml of my 12ml, order placed for 30ml as well as other juices.... now the LOOOONG wait!

When I was using cartos I would use 18 gauge blunt tip syringe to fill my carts for the first time.. Always worked like a champ..

Yep it seems with Bobas this is the only way to go. Condom method definately a no go... I burned the first carto up this way.

My second carto FINALLY filled. As I sat and watched a movie, I just kept dripping BB into it and 2 hours later it finally got full!!!! YIPPIE :)

Very interesting Tobacco juice..... definately gonna let it steep a few days and come back to it.

had pretty good luck with boba's so far in a DCT, slotted on one side (but a fairly large cut). filled the tank around it, put probably 30-35 drops into the carto letting each soak in, and no dry hits in a day of chain vaping. not getting great hits, but decent. did some dry pulls periodically too until i saw bubbles.
