Does anyone else with an EGO-C find that their atty's get so gunked up with residue reducing quality of vaping even after 1 ml of liquid (Yes, I like to take apart my atty after a 1ml use to see the effects of a particular liquid). I've noticed it more with dark liquids and liquids with added sweeteners. (I know some of that residue is burnt sugars). I have the same problem with SR and LR so I know that's not it.

So I'm just seeing if anyone has experienced similar problems and what you think about it. If so, do you find yourself staying away from certain liquids. I know when I started with my PV I was using a lot of ecblends with "Double extra flavor" which was fine on my cartos where I couldn't see the effects on the heat source but when using it on my ego I would literally have a 2mm wall around my coil after even 1 ml or use.

Added sweetner and almost any non-water based flavoring (oils, etc.) will gunk up any atty or carto. Dark liquids usually contain some type of particulants that will also add to the gunk. Double flavors can be ok, depending what's in them. Some vape with PG or diluted VG to clean after using a dark ejuice, but yeah - a good vodka soak will clean most attys up - cartos - well, that's harder but they're supposed to be disposable anyway :) If you like dark ejuices then that's one of the drawbacks but some are worth it. I'm seeing some vendors attempting to get the same flavor and lightening up their fluids some. DV's new espresso is almost clear - unlike the earlier Doppio Espresso and Cafe Braziliano - the last very dark.

I've found that the eGo-c doesn't get some of the burn that I got with some ejuices on the eGo-t.

My atty,s are over a month old. When I first got my kit I was going through a atty every 5 or 6 dsays because they were loosing TH and vapor production so I figured what do I have to loose I was replacing them anyway so I tried this method that I read about here on ECF about dry burning them and have had the same one now for over a month. The very first time I did a dry burn it took a long time to do but now it only take a minute and and they seem to be good as new. I still have 23 extras incase I burn one out. I thought this was the weak link for the E-Go C since my origional kit had 5 and I went through them so quickly and just threw them away, so I ordered alot of them and started dry burning them. This may not work for everyone but it sure has saved me alot of money on replacing the atty every week. Maybe I do not do it as long as other people do but as soon as I see a nice even glow on bot sided and in the center I am done and seems to work well for me.

I do a dry burn about every 3-4 tankfulls and mt atty's are still working great

That is a fine way to kill an atty prematurely.

Joyetech has a PDF manual on their site that says to dry burn the atty until the wick glows to increase performance. I'm just sayin...
