My vapour on my kanger protank 3 is appalling.
i bought it 1 month ago and recently bought some replacement coil heads for it and now every time I suck in I get a bit of throat hit but very little visible vapour. It is really bugging me and I want to know why it is happening and how to fix it. Also when I inhale I can feel a small amount of trapped vapour or something so I took the battery of and had a look and I found that the battery was semi wet (not drenched but very visible) with liquid and that when I inhale on it with no battery i get normal air flow.
thanks

couple questions:

- are the replacement heads the same resistance as the ones included originally?

- what mod are you using?

- unsure if you had good performance when the tank arrived and if the problem started with the new replacement heads or if it was 'weak' from the start

1. I'm certain there the same voltage coils yes.
2. I'm not using any mods I'm using my standard battery.
3. It was fine from the start however the problems started a few hours after I got the replacement heads, I have tried the old ones and they have the problem as well.

I'm having the same issue. I read the reviews and ask signs pointed to the pt3 being a good tank do I ordered one. When it arrived and I used it I'm getting very little vapor production. Tried the 2nd coil it came with and same issue. I'm getting far better vapor production from the generic ce4 throwaways than if the pt3(granted the flavor is almost always burnt with the ce4). I'm using it with an ego c twist. What's the issue?

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

in the early days of vaping, most devices where modified flashlights, so pretty much all devices nowdays are called 'mods'

not sure what you mean by standard battery, ego style?

I'm not sure what the issue might be, but:
when I inhale on it with no battery i get normal air flow

maybe you are over tightening the tank on your battery? try to screw it gently, just so that it makes contact and is able to fire and see if that helps

make sure you dry any juice from the battery contacts as that can mess up the resistance and give odd results

Are you using a variable voltage battery? I bought a eGo-c twist 1000mah with my pt3 thank goodness, because if I use one of the 3.7V batteries my EVOD starter kit comes with, I don't get much. Depending on how long my coil has been in without being cleaned and what kind of juice, I find the pt3 works best around 4-4.6v. That's with 2ohm factory coils.

You said the problem started after you got the replacement coils, but now the original coils are having the same problem too. So my question is, did the performance drop after the first time you took it apart to replace a coil? Then my guess would be maybe it isn't being put back together correctly, or something isn't being screwed in tight enough.

It's possible I'll try re assembling it again later

I haven't seen the issue you're referring to. In general though, with any Kanger ProTank it is considered normal for some liquid to appear on the battery. The rub is that if it's more than a little it will short out your vape and won't produce much vapor. I found that I was creating an issue by not completely clearing my chamber after a vape. If you stop inhaling right after you release the fire button, moist air is left in the device, condenses and runs down to the plus terminal. I started continuing to inhale for a second after releasing the fire button and the issue went away. Generally though, I keep a battery box with Q-Tips in my pocket when I'm out and about with any of my clearo devices just to dry out the plus terminal.

I'm going to second the earlier suggestion that there might have been an issue introduced when the device was reassembled.
