So today I got my kick and it seems to not be vaping at the correct wattage. I am using a vivi nova that i recoiled to about 2.8 ohm resistance. On my lavatube, it is producing nice, warm vapor at about 4.8 volts, which would be near 8 watts. Now when I use the silver bullet with a brand new aw18490 at 10 watts it isnt even close to the warmth or vapor production for that matter. Can anyone help me on what my problem might be?

Does your Silver Bullet have any build up on the inside? Try cleaning all the contacts. Should not be any reason why the Kick would not work in the SB.
What kind of batteries are you using in the SB with the Kick. Are they IMR's? I use nothing but AW IMR's in any scenario now and I have no problems. I use a Kick form time to time in my Omega.

I am actually surprised you are getting warm vapor on the LT with 2.8ohm at 4.8v considering that is only pushing 8.2 watts. Then again, it is kind of known that the Chinese Pulse Width powered mods are not really pushing the numbers they say they are. Try a couple different settings on the Kick and see if it changes and what changes it is doing.

Well with the nova being top coil it seems to take a bit less voltage to get in the "warm" range. (I'm sure that the lavatubes voltage does vary to a certain degree). I have tried different wattages and the lower I go, I get even less vapor. Switched to another brand new aw imr 18490....still no good. Both batteries were fully charged and I checked them with a volt meter as well and both came off at 4.2. I just can't figure out why it's working, just not well at all. A freshly charged 18650 in my bullet is performing better than the kick set at 10 watts in the same bullet. I keep thinking maybe its a grounding issue, but then I would assume that it wouldn't work at all.

I would probably say it is the Kick was Potted wrong. Hard to say. Do you have an 18650 to try straight battery voltage to see if it is hitting harder than with the Kick? With a newly charged battery, should be hitting around 4 volts. If this hits harder than the Kick, I would say the Kick was operating at the incorrect wattages.

Ive a quick question since you guys seem to know a lot about the Kick. I got one in this friday and its been working well, but I took it out to adjust it and I noticed the plastic protective cover is cracked just under where the coil goes to make contact to the side of the tube, should I be worried that it will fail in the future? And if I like the vape at around 2.0 ohms so I set it to 8 watts. If I want a warmer vape should I go to 9 or 10 or should I go down. I forgot. Cooler lower watt or warmer higher watts?
