Problems with my mod w/ 18350 battery

Hey Everyone,
So here is my question that I couldnt find an answer to and led me to register on this site.

I've got a beyondvape spire mod, which I like a lot. It works great with my 18650 battery, but its just so big with that huge battery. The kit I got came with an 18350 battery, which worked, but of course I lost it immediately. I bought a replacement set of TF 18350 3.7V batteries and charged them up. When they were fully charged I put them in my mod and turned the mod on. The menu and settings worked fine, I was able to adjust the voltage/wattage etc just fine. When i tried to fire tho mod though, the screen showed the voltage setting (as I have set it to do when firing) for a split second and then the whole mod turned off. The mod wouldn't turn back on until I had taken out the battery and put it back in.

The mod works when I have no atomizer attached to it. I'm using the aspire nautilus mod with 1.8 ohm BVC atomizer. The battery reads a full charge (4.1 volts) when in the mod, so its not like its too low to use. I've tried raising and lowering the voltage setting on the mod but nothing seems to work. It always blinks then shuts off entirely and cannot be turned back on with the 5-clicks that normally turns it on.

Any suggestions?

As others have said, if your batteries are Trustfire protected Li-Ion batteries they are not the correct batteries to use in your mod. You should be using IMR (Li-Mn) or IMR/Hybrid safe-chemistry, high-drain, batteries.

Check out a blog post by Baditude (our resident battery/safety expert) regarding batteries: Battery Basics for Mods
- choose the safest and right battery for your applications here. Includes a list of name brand, high-drain, safe-chemistry batteries with mAh & amp ratings in 18350, 18490/18500, and 18650 sizes.

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

* RTD Vapor
* Illumination Supply
* Lighthound
* Orbtronics
