Problems with my RN4081

I have 2 batteries that I use on a daily basic. Well, when I first bought these they worked great. Powerful, great vapor, good drags. I only use cartomizers because regular atomizers have always been a huge pain in the ... for me and I hate liquids because they're messy.

Well, after 2 weeks, I noticed the batteries are significantly weaker. I always keep them charged well but now they are much weaker than when I initailly bought them. I don't think this is a malfunction in the batteries I bought because I've had problems with these batteries in the past when I first started smoking e cigs.

I notice that I have to puff harder and take more drags to get a good hit now. The hits aren't anywhere near as good as when I first bought them and I noticed that the cartomizer gets burned and gives a nasty burned taste much earlier than they should. I think the battery is ruining them somehow.

Has anyone had similar problems?

I should note that I DO have a 510 but it's a push button, which I really hate, and I'm not particularly happy with it either.

Would I be better off getting an automatic 510 with cartomizers? Would I have better luck with that because i'm pretty much given up on the RN4081 at this point. I'm not happy with it anymore because the battery life gets weak within 2 weeks and it ends up being an inferioir product.

Does anyone have similar problems and could anyone give me some good advice? I buy all my stuff from AZsmokefree.com.

Well, long term, you probably don't want to keep throwing money at the RN4081s. I'm not sure why you're unhappy with the 510 you have. If you just don't like pushing the button, your cheapest option is to find 510 automatic batteries for your 510 kit.

If you want to start over with a new automatic system, you could consider the Smokeless Image Volt. It's a KR808D-1, performs comparable to a Bloog, Vapor King or Halo Cigs, and is reasonably priced. It looks like a cigarette (similar to your 510), if that's important.

If you're ok with something cigar-sized, the Echo is another automatic system that will hold way more juice and last way longer (1300 mAh).

Most of the bigger models are manual. With the button, you get more control over your vape. If the button is not an issue, and you're ok with something the size of a Sharpie, consider the Riva 510 from Liberty-Flights.com.

With my 510 manual battery, I'm not sure why but I can't get a good throat hit on it. I can get lots of vapor, but no throat hit, which is strange because I can get a throat hit on my RN4081. I think an automatic might be better, unless someone else has a better suggestion.

I used to have a Totally Wicket Tornado which I'm guessing is the same as some of the models you guys have mentioned. I liked it at first but after a nightmare with atomizers and liquid dripping from the atomizer into the battery, I retired the thing and never plan on going back.

I prefer something as close to a real cigarette as possible, with no push button and the same size as a cigarette.

I noticed awhile ago with the catos from AZ smoke free for the 4081 went through a change.

I was getting some with a hard tip end, they worked well.
They switched to a soft tip (same box, so I assume same manufacturer)
these soft tips did not seem to work as well.
I have used new batteries to, so I believe it has more to do with the cartos.
(I still plan on getting more of the cartos from AZsmokefree in the next few days, great prices and I'm not that bothered by this issue).

If this doesn't sound like this may be your issue, try cleaning the charging conection points (batt and charger) with a q-tip and alchohol.

    Plain and simple:

Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

If is has to be an auto, the suggestion of the Volt is better than what you have. Another option is the Bloog.

But if you tried one like the E-Power, it would solve 90% of your problems. Manual batteries just work much better and hold up much longer and are more consistent if they are more powerful. Just use cartomizers instead of atomizers.

    E-Power: e-Power

The Volt by Smokeless Image is as close to a real cigarette that I've found. Don't judge it by 808's you've tried in the past.
the new generations of 808's are completely different.
    Best of luck to ya!

You can increase throat hit and flavor by using more PG in your e-juice. 70%PG / 30% VG is a good sweet spot for flavor, throat hit and vapor production, but 100% PG will give you more throat hit. What kind of juice are you vaping right now on your 510?

A Volt (or Bloog, Vapor King, Halo G6, etc.) will give you a little more oomph, but I'm wondering how much you need. An E-Power with a 306 LR atomizer and drip tip would be a much bigger step up.

I like no more than 20% VG in juice for standard resistance cartomizers - any thicker clogs them a bit for me, making the drag sluggish. And juices that leave sediment also clog cartos.

manual vs automatic - manuals make it easier to get a good hit (just press the button 1-2 seconds early). Manuals are much less likely to be degraded, damaged, killed by cartomizer leaks.

Best hit cartomizer slim ecig is KR808D-1 (Vapor4Life, SmokelessImage) and I recommend manuals
