Because as a new user to vaping we don’t know any different. I almost bought one. I think they look awesome and feel great in the hand....................................
I understand all of that. Been there, done that. My first vape was a cigalike starter kit because I was convinced it had to look like a cigarette. That idea lasted maybe 4 weeks if that. My next purchases were a mech mod and a cartotank. That setup looked nothing like a cigarette, but it was a wonderful, satisfying vape at the time. I just had to get past that appearance thing, first.

I found ECF and found out there was a wide variety of vaping devices. I read the comments and asked questions. I then bought what I believed would fit my vaping profile. Variable power was a gamechanger for me. Its why I spent over $200 on my first Provari, and never regretted it.

In hindsight, I wish I had purchased the Provari and cartotank at the very beginning. I never used the cigalikes again and although they did get me off of cigarettes, they were a waste of time and money.

I feel it is my obligation to share my knowledge and experience with new vapers. That's why I recommend beginners not to purchase a mod that doesn't have variable wattage. More likely than not, they are going to end up with one down the road.

Stay with the m2 that is the coil smok designed to work with the stick battery. As to the fixed to variable I'm not sure I kinda talk to the person and try to figure out if they want to mess with trying to figure out how to use variable watts or just want to fill and push a button and go. The reason I say that is one of my friends uses the smok sticks and that's all he wants tried box mods and just gets confused trying to figure out what watts he likes best

@Baditude Well said and I applaud you for your efforts and support. However, this thread was looking for support with a device and not ones opinion of it. It is with my experience through various different support levels that one should not insinuate that an individual has made an incorrect decision without knowing the facts. This could lead to a very unpleasant experience for a end user. We are all individuals with different needs and values. And a purchase such as this stick mod could have been made based on a need or value that is beyond our opinions or what was discussed within this thread. I feel it is more beneficial to an end user to assist with the question at hand and let them form their own opinion once the device (in this case) is working to within it’s full potential. As you said, and as I insinuated earlier, they will most likely progress to another device. At which time they will come back to ECF and ask for opinions and recommendations.

I recently purchased my first vape, decided to get a Smok Stick Prince TFV12 Starter Kit. Everything came in the mail and I used everything just about fine until yesterday my coil starting burning up so I figured it was time to replace it. I bought T10 coils along with my purchase so I figured I would give those a try. I watched a few YouTube vids on how to install the new coil as I didn’t want to mess up my new vape. I got it all set up and thought it was fine. I took a first hit and didn’t get any flavor I was getting from my vape initially and I slowly noticed around my air flow was getting really hot after a few hits. I stopped using it and have tried to fix it by looking up fixes online to no lead on getting it fixed. I hope this is a simple problem I can fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This may or may not help but you could have gotten bad coils. I hate the TFV 12 with a passion, I let myself get talked into buying one. Only one coil in the kit I bought worked. Went back to the shop (I know the owner). He decided to play with it, went through 3 coils, 2 said bad atomizer or no atomizer or 3 mods. The third one worked for about 20 minutes and then just started dumping liquid out the bottom.

He opened a new tank set it up to swap me, as soon as he screwed it on his mod, bad atty message again. That's how I ended up with a VCMT2, lol. Now he uses one regularly (TFV) and has no issues for the bad coil here and there, so he was floored by this and embarrassed as he's the one who got me to buy it.

He in the end had about 12 more come back with problems, actually quit selling them for a while. Now the tanks can't be all bad as they sell them like crazy. The problem is QC and when you get a bad batch, it stings, especially for a retailer. This is my personal experience (as well as first hand knowledge) and mileage varies, so by no means take this as TFV bashing, I just don't personally care for them.

This may not be related to your issue but just figured I'd make you aware. Sometimes you can do everything right and it just isn't going to run like it should.
