I understand all of that. Been there, done that. My first vape was a cigalike starter kit because I was convinced it had to look like a cigarette. That idea lasted maybe 4 weeks if that. My next purchases were a mech mod and a cartotank. That setup looked nothing like a cigarette, but it was a wonderful, satisfying vape at the time. I just had to get past that appearance thing, first.Because as a new user to vaping we don’t know any different. I almost bought one. I think they look awesome and feel great in the hand....................................
I found ECF and found out there was a wide variety of vaping devices. I read the comments and asked questions. I then bought what I believed would fit my vaping profile. Variable power was a gamechanger for me. Its why I spent over $200 on my first Provari, and never regretted it.
In hindsight, I wish I had purchased the Provari and cartotank at the very beginning. I never used the cigalikes again and although they did get me off of cigarettes, they were a waste of time and money.
I feel it is my obligation to share my knowledge and experience with new vapers. That's why I recommend beginners not to purchase a mod that doesn't have variable wattage. More likely than not, they are going to end up with one down the road.
