Picked up a kayfun clone recently. Decided to build it tonight. I made a micro coil with 30g which is reading ~1.7 wicked and juiced up. Wicked with cotton and seems to be feeding fine. It hits like a tank but it's a little hot for my taste even with the airflow all the way open. What's a good coil setup to cool it down a bit?

It's reading 1.7 on a device (wicked and juiced) but was measuring closer to 1.5 with just the bare coil.... so I might just be on the edge of being too hot... idk... I did end up redoing the wicking and got slightly better results. Wicked with cotton and I lightened up the amount a bit and insured the juice channels were clear. Ran it mostly on a mech but also on a VV for a bit to play with the voltage. I am using the stock drip tip which may be part of it. It's OK now but not as great yet. Overall it still seems a bit starved for juice but not quite as hot anymore.

Seems like I still need more juice and more air going through to get it really dialed in. Maybe just better airflow on the tip as suggested. I am used to the PT2 but have built some other genesis and drippers. Just new to this style and having a harder time getting it dialed in. It's also an unknown clone I bought secondhand so who knows if it's even made quite to spec...
